Parkland Walk Adventure — A Relaxing Nature Escape
**Parkland Walk Adventure — A Relaxing Nature Escape with The Fun Social Circle**
Join us for a refreshing and friendly walk along one of London’s most beautiful green routes — the **Parkland Walk**, starting from **The Mossy Well Pub** in Muswell Hill. This is the perfect outing if you love gentle exercise, good company, and discovering hidden natural gems right here in the city.
This event is in co operation with other groups and will be well attended.
We’ll begin our journey outside The Mossy Well and follow the historic **Parkland Line route** all the way to **Finsbury Park Station**. The path is flat, leafy, and full of character — ideal for walkers of all levels. Along the way, we’ll pass through charming neighbourhoods including **Highgate, Crouch End, Stroud Green**, and finally **Finsbury Park**.
The Parkland Walk is more than just a trail — it’s a **Local Nature Reserve** and a **Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation**. Declared a reserve in 1990, it’s actually **London’s longest nature reserve**, stretching **3.1 miles (5 km)** along the old railway line that once connected Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace.
Expect plenty of greenery, wildlife, quirky art installations, and peaceful woodland vibes. We’ll also make relaxed stops along the way for **coffee, water, snacks**, and a chance to chat and get to know each other. This walk is all about connection, fresh air, and enjoying a calm moment away from the city rush.
Whether you’re looking to meet new friends, enjoy a mindful stroll, or simply spend your Sunday in good company, this walk is a lovely way to do it.

Part of the art of street photography is telling a story. In this workshop you'll learn how to tell a story and develop street photography skills. You'll be given some tips and then set a series of challenges to help build your confidence when shooting street photography.

Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
A Rabble session is 1 hour of fun and social team games.
Each game disguises high-intensity intervals within the rules, giving you an effective, all-body workout without even realising it.
We play a bunch of different games at each session (like British Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Frisbee and many more), and every class is different.
Sessions are open to all, no matter your sporting ability. Each game is explained before we start, so there's no need to have played any of the games before.

**Meeting Point:** Outside Wimbledon Chase Station at 10:30 am and start at 10:45 am sharp!
**Difficulty:** Moderate - medium paced hike
**Distance:** 14 to 16 miles
**Elevation Gain:** approx., 450 m
**Transport:** Wimbledon Chase Station is accessible via train services. If driving, you can park in nearby streets or car parks around Wimbledon Chase Station. Please make sure to reach early to find parking.
**Description:**
We will explore the scenic beauty of Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park during this hike in London. Starting from Wimbledon Chase Station, the route takes through iconic landmarks such as Wimbledon Windmill Museum, Queensmere, Treebox Wood, Pen Ponds, and the vibrant Isabella Plantation. The trail offers stunning landscapes and opportunities to observe local wildlife, including birds and deer.
Expect mixed terrain, with forest paths, grassy trails, and sections that cross a golf course and busy roads.
We will go to a pub close to the station and socialise after the hike.

London Indoor Bouldering morning
Join OutdoorLads weekly Saturday bouldering morning event at Vauxwall West - please check our main event page on our website (link in the comments below).
We welcome all members of the LGBTQ+ community, and you will be socialising with a supportive group boulderers who are always happy to introduce complete beginners to the sport or solve difficult bouldering problems together. This event is for members of all levels of experience and all are welcome to come along to any of the sessions.
Bouldering is unique. There are few sports out there that offer a mental and physical challenge no matter what skill level you are at. Each route consists of several holds that the climber uses, focusing on problem-solving and technical movements to help them reach the top. No two routes are ever the same, and the colour-coded system indicates the difficulty level, so there's a climb for everyone to enjoy!
If you have never tried bouldering before, please ensure that you have gone through the centre's safety and induction video beforehand (https://londonclimbingcentres.co.uk/pre-register/) as you will be required to answer a few safety questions when registering at the centre.

Ladies Sword Fitness
Taisoken Sword Fitness classes are formulated to sculpt your whole body, build lean muscle and focus the mind. Based on traditional Japanese sword movements (‘Taisoken’ literally means ‘exercise sword’ in Japanese) the class blends cardio and light weight resistance training to burn fat and build long lean muscles.
We make use of traditional Japanese training swords (called ‘Bokken’) to tone our arms and strengthen our cores. No prior training or martial arts experience is required, the class is completely non-contact and suited to all levels of fitness. Come and join us every second Sunday for a strong work out - most weeks be pop to the local pub/café for a quick coffee or cake (and let’s be honest, sometimes both!) Meetup Cost: £10 Please bring the payment with you on the day and pay directly to Taisoken or you can make a bank transfer on the day.

Back ground Info: Taisoken Sword Fitness has been developed and is led by Jeff Humm, who has been studying studying the use of the Japanese sword for over 45 years together with other traditional martial arts. He holds a Masters degree in Traditional Japanese Martial Arts and a 7th Dan in Japanese fencing (Kendo). The movements are authentic cutting actions, some dating back more than 3 hundred years when your life depend on how well you wield the Sword. By taking authentic Japanese sword movements of attack and defence, these actions have been formulated into practice routines which work and sculpt the full range of the body’s muscles.
Additionally the routines require participates to focus and visualise their actions leading them to seeking perfection in application which in turn empowers the mind and develops greater body and mind equilibrium. The Japanese sword is sharp and slender, renowned and admired across the world for its beauty and image; those that can weld it effectively are held in great esteem and revered. They are resilient and tranquil, with poise and grace they move without effort, mind, body and sword as one.

LONDON: Epping Forest Centenary Walk: Wood Street to Connaught Water
Join Rob and Hannah as London Wildish heads along the Epping Forest Centenary Walk, exploring one of London's most treasured green spaces and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Connaught Water.
Starting from Wood Street Station, we'll follow a green corridor that gradually leads us from the city into the ancient landscapes of Epping Forest. Along the way we'll spend time near the River Ching, considering how water has shaped the landscape and how people, in turn, have shaped the river over time.
This is a relaxed social walk with plenty of opportunities to chat, connect with fellow Wildish members, and meet new people. Whether you're a regular on our walks or joining for the first time, you'll find a friendly group and a shared appreciation for spending time outdoors.
We'll loop around Connaught Water before finishing at Chingford Station, right on the edge of Epping Forest.

**ABOUT THE EVENT**
Join Pollinator Pathway for a morning at the Land Lab, a ~100-acre prairie and outdoor learning space just steps from Granville Intermediate School. This event explores how schools and other campuses can create living classrooms and contribute to community science.
* **Tour the Land Lab:** Award-winning environmental science educator Jim Reding will lead guided tours through prairie, wetlands and other restored habitat, sharing the story behind this nationally-recognized space and the students and partnerships who helped make it happen.
* **Contribute to Community Science with iNaturalist App:** Learn to identify and document plants, pollinators and other wildlife using iNaturalist. Dr. Karen Goodell, professor of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology at The Ohio State University at Newark and one of Ohio's foremost experts on native bees will share how to use this powerful tool to learn about the natural world while contributing to scientific research.
* **Connect & Collaborate:** The morning program concludes with an optional BYO picnic lunch and networking at the Land Lab shelter house, overlooking the prairie.

We are a real world Martial arts group. \
Called DO JUNG ISHU (the art of fighting) \
Based off of Jeet kune do we just continued where Bruce Lee left off. \
We have been around a while. \
Every week we get together and work technical skills and full contact spar. \
Almost all of the instructors have been in everything from street fights to the ring and some still compete in cage fighting. \
If you want to take your skills up, improve your confidence, gain self defense skills, get in better shape, test yourself or just want to kill some time and possibly get hit a bit come on down. \
