[Hiking Series] M'sia - Gunung Panti (531m): Fun 'beginner' training hike!
[Hiking Series] M'sia - Gunung Panti (531m): Fun 'beginner' training hike!
**\*If interested, please whatsapp** [wa.me/+6588842635](wa.me/+6588842635) **or +65 8884 2635! Sign-ups *are only confirmed after contacting us and joining the WA group! \**** Gunung Panti (531m) is one of the most popular and famous beginner hikes in Malaysia due to it being relatively short, easy, and its distance from Singapore (1+h) being at Kota Tinggi. It is often used as a training mountain for most Singaporeans. There are a few different trails to Panti summit, but the general route is slightly longer than Lambak and similar to Datuk. It takes about 2h each way. It is famous for having a steep vertical wall face near the summit, similar to Fraser Hill, with some elements of small stream crossing. This will be a fun introduction to Malaysia hikes for most people, with gradual uphills, various elements, and some hours of hiking to work up a sweat! **Who is this for?** * It is most suitable for those who wish to experience a hike that isn't too tough and suitable as a starting point for Malaysia hikes * Just want short/fun training hike out that isn't too tough like Ophir, or to do another hike other than the usual ones. * A decent Malaysia hike with its various elements (forest, mud, logs, vertical wall face, leeches) * It serves as a good training or progressive hike for those who wish to do more hiking. Most do it as general training for hikes. * If you wish for a bit of thrill in using your hands and legs to climb up either the ladders or rock wall **How tough is it/How fit do I have to be?** The hike is around 2h up and 2h down, making it a total of \~5h (with a 1h break). It is generally tropical forest trail, with small water crossing and a rope/ladder portion (vertical wall face) near the summit. If you have done any other Malaysia hikes before, like Gunung Datuk/Lambak before, the terrain is not that much of a surprise. This is okay for newbies, as long as you have some level of fitness and is open minded, if not it will be fun for those who are first time in Malaysia! **How many pax for the trip to happen?** Minimum **12 pax** to start the trip! **Estimated Itinerary: (Saturday**) \~6.00 am : Meet @ Marsiling MRT 7.00 am : Breakfast/Head straight to start point 9.00 am : Start Hike 11.00 am : Panti Summit 12:00 pm : Descend back to the base 2:00 pm : Arrive at base.
