**Radical Empathy – Queer Storytelling for Connection** host by **Neo Seefried** guest: **Sarj Lynch** event for **LGBTQIA+** **[Free event with registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/radical-empathy/w07-2026)** Conflict is everywhere: in our inner lives, relationships, workplaces, communities. Instead of seeing it as rupture or failure, Radical Empathy explores how exchange can transform conflict into queer creativity, resilience, and solidarity. This intimate closed group of 25–30 queer participants will explore how storytelling can hold, transform, and reimagine conflict – personal and collective. We will create a space where queer voices meet – not to erase differences, but to live them and to seek new forms of connection. **Calling in Care When Harm Happens** In this session, we’ll explore some of the ways that our bodies react in moments of rupture, as well as strategies for how we can activate our values to guide our responses when the going gets tough . We’ll learn a simple care protocol that can be applied when painful moments arise in our relationships — whether we are the one experiencing harm, perpetuating it, or witnessing it (or, as so often happens, some combination of the three). **Guest facilitator for this session is Sarj Lynch**, facilitator, community care organizer and co-initiator of aequa. **Sarj Lynch** (they) is a very curious facilitator and community care organizer based in Berlin. They are co-initiator of aequa (2017), aequa Workshops Collective (2020), and Berlin Collective Action e.V. (2020). Together with Bryony Beynon, they run Big Beef and Beyond — an ongoing series of trainings on transformative approaches to tending to harm in our communities, which focuses especially on conflict, harm and abuse in collective, cultural and social movement and organizing work. **General information** **Participant**: this workshop series is open to LGBTQIA+ people, with particular encouragement for those holding multiple marginalizations. **Language**: Depending on the group’s needs, sessions will be held in German and/or English. **Cost**: Free of charge, registration required. 🔵 Konflikte sind allgegenwärtig: in unserem Inneren, in Beziehungen, in der Arbeit, in Communities. In the Buddhist tradition, meditation is more than just a way to end the mind´s distraction - it is what helps us to bring our mind home to its true nature. What better way to experience the colourful facets of meditation than with a group of like-minded people? Hence our open meditation sessions always have a social element as well - we like to have a tea and share about our meditation experiences, or whatever else we want to explore. In einer Breathwork Session geht es vor allem darum, dass Du loslassen, Dich entspannen und mit Dir selbst und Deinem Unterbewusstsein verbinden kannst. Die Atmung kann im Liegen oder Sitzen statt finden, ganz nach Deiner Wahl. Du wirst durch ein bewegendes Musikset geführt, wodurch Du in eine Trance-Atemmeditation gelangst. ⚔ Spiritual Heroism and the hero's journey ⚔ “*[T]he student-teacher relationship is similar to that in the martialarts. You could get hurt severely if you are too tense. [...]You could read a book about it, but it doesn’t mean very much unless you have that very immediate and direct experience —which is frightening [...] We have tolearn fearlessness that is without hesitation but is not based on blind faith.*” (Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche) Turning to the inside, investigating who one truly is, facing challenges and obstacles on the search for truth, is heroic. Whether the story of the great hero Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita, Atalante in Greek mythology or David in Christianity - our ancient stories are full of heroines and heros. Heroism seems to be an attribute of the mystic archetypes (Gods) considering the legends of Kali's victory over the demons, Siva Nilakantha's rescue of the Universe from poison, or Ragnarök in nordic and Titanomachy in Greek mythology. Books like "*The way of the superior man*" or simply biographies of great spiritual beings like the Tibetan Princess, Yeshe Tsogyel, Co-founder of Tibetan Buddhism suggest that there is something that Heroism can contribute to the spiritual Quest. And then there are things like the Bodhisattva Vow - spiritual actions that seem heroic in nature. “‘*Would you like to leave your subjects and go off to practice the Dharma?Would you l ike to leave the palace and go to practice the Dharma? Over time, this disconnect drains clarity and ease. This walk is a simple reset. We meet in Berlin’s Tiergarten and walk at a gentle pace. Parts of the walk are in silence, with light guidance and a few short prompts. The walk itself is the practice, bringing body and mind back into the same moment. No apps. No performance. Just a clear space to slow down and notice what is happening. The name points to a simple capacity: noticing what is happening in the mind without immediately trying to fix, judge, or optimize it. 🌿 **Possible effects:** A calmer nervous system. **Meditation – One Hour of Presence (All levels) by STUDIO B (https://www.studio-bewusstseinserfahrungen.de/)** This one-hour meditation session is suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. We begin with a short and gentle breathwork exercise to regulate the body, calm the nervous system, and bring attention inward. This prepares the transition into meditation. This is followed by a 15–20 minute introduction to the meditation practice. During this phase, I explain the core principles of meditation and assign each participant a personal meditation task, tailored to their individual level of experience. The intention of this part is to create clarity, inner orientation, and a sense of safety for the silent practice. We then enter a first phase of silent meditation. After approximately 15–20 minutes, the silence is intentionally interrupted by a short walking meditation.
