English Conversation (Bohnice, Praha 8)
English Conversation (Bohnice, Praha 8)
Hi all! My name is Cara, and I am a native English speaker from America living in Prague. This a meet up for t**hose learning English as a second language** and want the **opportunity to practice**. It will be a fun and relaxed setting where we will play games to **promote English conversations** or have some kind of activity. This club will meet **every other (two Mondays each month) Monday evening.** The goal is for each person to walk away having learned new English words and have more confidence when speaking in English. Please, bring some money if you want to purchase a coffee from Evento. **This event is sponsored by a church.** The church that sponsors this English meet up is **Církev bratrská, Bohnice** [https://www.cbbohnice.cz](https://www.cbbohnice.cz/) . We want to live lives that are reflective of Jesus. Like Jesus we want to help others in meeting a practical need, in this case that would be speaking in English. At the end of the English club, we will extend an invite to anyone who is interested in exploring faith, wants to know more about Jesus, or wants to meet up to read from the Bible. However, we will never trick you into attending and will always be honest about the content of our meetings. *You do not have to attend religious events to be a part of English Club.*

How many times have you thought if only If only I had more alcohol I'd be more drunk. If only there would be more happiness, I'd be more happy. This will be a meeting to talk about the design of ideas. Faq. Why does it say so little? Will there be many people? https://unsplash.com/photos/brown-sparrow-perched-near-red-fruits-_d0zgyMmYT8 Vincent van Zalinge

Ackee Meets: Agentic Web Development (Frontend & Backend)
Ackee Meets: Agentic Web Development (Frontend & Backend)
No… až do chvíle, kdy jsme mu pustili AI žíly. A ne, není to jenom o tom, kdo má větší kontextové okno. A hlavně – kdy zůstat v IDE a kdy delegovat práci agentovi. **📣 Od osobních promptů ke kolektivnímu know-how** **🎤** **Petr Hovorka,** *vývojář přední části* AI dneska používá každý. Ale každý jinak. Někdo má svoje tajné promptovací finty, jiný bastlí custom instrukce, další si hraje s temperature a system messages. 🤙 *V průběhu akce můžeme pořizovat a dále zpracovávat foto a video záznamy. Pokud si nepřejete, abychom vás fotili nebo natáčeli, dejte nám prosím vědět před začátkem akce.*

Celkově má v IT 11 let zkušeností.

Last-minute defects? Painful releases? Frustrated business stakeholders? Customer complaints? Many organisations try to fix this by “improving testing”. But here's a secret: better testing can often make things slower and more expensive. So what’s really going wrong? At this Business Breakfast, we’ll explore why release problems are often not a problem in testing. In an increasingly unpredictable marketplace, with competitors challenging from all sides, and customers demanding more and more, we are all under pressure to continuously deliver new features quickly and cheaply. Under this sort of pressure, quality sometimes gets pushed to one side, as leaders focus on time and money. That is until you get to testing, when it's the poor quality that you have accumulated that slows you down, costs you money and makes your hair go grey. The way to achieve speed and reduce costs is to build in quality at every step of the delivery lifecycle. These are the proven principles of quality engineering that are the foundations of the high-performing DevOps teams in the world's most successful companies. Their laser focus on quality makes them competitive. The good news is that you can get the same results in whatever SDLC model you are following. Even waterfall. In the talk we will explain why the test phase can become a bottleneck and why that wastes a lot of time and money. We will then explain how testing, if applied smartly in the right places, can actually reduce waste and smooth the flow of your team's work - enabling you to shorten time to market, improve customer and stakeholder satisfaction, and increase your ROI. **O přednášejícím** **Phil Royston** Po své cestě v IT světě\, která začala koncem 80\. let\, v roce 2002 prakticky spadl do světa testování softwaru\. Rád spolupracuje s našimi klienty\, aby jim pomohl vyřešit problémy s testováním a kvalitou softwaru na individuální\, týmové\, skupinové a organizační úrovni\. Jako lektor kurzů předává své rozsáhlé znalosti a zkušenosti a formuje další generaci IT profesionálů\. **O přednášejícím** **Miroslav Renda** Mirek se pohybuje v různých projektových rolích v IT businessu více než 25 let. Posledních 8 let si v roli test managera užíval zajímavé projekty ve velkých českých bankách a v oblasti automotive. Je spolupachatelem knihy Efektivní testování softwaru vydané nakladatelstvím GRADA. Miluje své dvě děti, přírodu a sport v jakékoli podobě.

HTML5 Master Series (Class 01 of 04) (SPECIAL OFFERING)
HTML5 Master Series (Class 01 of 04) (SPECIAL OFFERING)
**PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT NOTES:** 1. The dates listed for this series are about 95% reliable. We are completing our 2026 schedule as we speak, so minor adjustments are still occurring. 2. Each class in this series has an attendance fee, though this first offering is free on a first-come, first-served basis. 3. Each class, from BOTH a sign-up and fee perspective, is a separate entity. **Introduction:** HTML5 is the foundational technology for modern web development, serving as the standard markup language for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. Developed through a collaboration between the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG), HTML5 provides a robust system of elements (tags) that tell a browser how to display text, images, and multimedia in a clear and meaningful way. It works in concert with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for presentation and JavaScript for interactivity, forming the core technology stack for virtually all websites and many web applications today. One of the significant advancements of HTML5 is the introduction of powerful new features and elements designed to improve functionality and simplify development. Key additions include native multimedia support via the \ and \ tags, allowing developers to embed media without third-party plugins. It also offers new form controls for better user input, such as date and email types, and introduces web storage capabilities to store data offline for enhanced performance. These features streamline the process of building rich, interactive web experiences. A significant focus of HTML5 is enhanced semantics and better structural organization of content. New semantic elements like , , , , and \ provide meaningful structure to documents, which aids in search engine optimization (SEO) and improves accessibility for assistive technologies. These elements define different parts of a webpage (e.g., a header for the top, a nav for navigation links, a footer for the bottom), making the code more readable and understandable for both developers and machines. This emphasis on clear structure helps in creating more logical and maintainable websites. HTML5 Master Series (Class 02 of 04) (SPECIAL OFFERING)
HTML5 Master Series (Class 02 of 04) (SPECIAL OFFERING)
Developing websites in today's competitive environment requires taking advantage of every technique you can to get the maximum exposure possible. Our HTML5 class will not only show you what's new in the HTML specification, but also the best way to develop optimized web pages that get the attention your client and/or company requires. **The breakdown of the four-class series is as follows:** **Class 1: Introduction to Web Structure and Basic HTML5** This class introduces the core concepts of web development, the history of HTML, and the fundamental structure of an HTML5 document. * **Topics**: * **Web Architecture Overview**: How browsers, servers, and web pages interact. * **HTML Fundamentals**: Understanding elements, tags, and attributes. * **Basic Document Structure**: Using !DOCTYPE html, html, head, and body. * **Text Formatting**: Headings (h1 to h6), paragraphs (p), and text-level semantics (e.g., strong, em, br). * **Lists and Links**: Creating ordered (ol) and unordered (ul) lists, and linking between pages using anchor tags (a). * **Activity**: Students create a basic personal webpage containing text, a list of hobbies, and a link to an external website. **Class 2: Semantic HTML5 and Multimedia Integration** Class 2 focuses on modern HTML5 elements that provide meaning (semantics) to content, improving accessibility and search engine optimization.
