Hi all, Our *‘Before’* Triology continues on **Sunday April 19th at 4pm** with the screening of **Before Sunset.** Before Sunrise ended with a promise that its sequel reveals was not kept. Nine years after Vienna, Jesse, married with a son, is giving a reading in a Paris bookshop of the novel he wrote inspired by his encounter with Céline when she appears. Their time once again limited by Jesse’s travel arrangements, the two walk the streets, resuming their conversation, acknowledging the changes in their lives while recognising the profound effect their one night together had on their lives and relationships. On Sunday 19th April we shall have a walk in the Ward River Valley to Swords Castle. **Meeting Location** Swords Express bus stop on Eden Quay which is next to stop 135351 and Meaghers Pub. From O'Connell St head towards the River Liffey and when you get to the river, turn left. The bus stop is a short distance on the left hand side. The Swords Express bus takes Leap Cards (please ensure you have enough credit) and is scheduled to depart at 10:45. If it's easier for you to catch a different bus to the walk's starting point then please let the organisers know. **Route Description** From the meeting point on Eden Quay we will take the Swords Express bus to near the Windmill Lands area of Swords from there we walk through the park and along the Ward River into Swords itself to see the historic round tower of St Columba's Church, the holy well and the lovely Swords Castle. The distance is approximately 5km. There will be time to look round the castle which is free to visit. After maybe a cup of tea or a pint of beer, we will take the bus back into Dublin. Or alternatively if people wish, we could have a further walk to Malahide Station via the lovely Malahide Estuary. This is approximately a further 5.5km. Some paths can be a little muddy, but the chosen route should avoid the worst sections. If it's dry and warm enough, we'll probably have a picnic in the park. There are no shops on the walk, but there are many shops, cafés and pubs in Swords itself. \*\*\* If you wish to wander off during a break then it's probably OK but please agree with the organisers a time you'll return so we're not waiting for you \*\*\* We hope to see you there! We have never until now featured Zinfandel, the ubiquitous California grape with the Dublin Wine MeetUp Group. At its best Zinfandel, is rich, voluptuous, with great depth of red and blue fruits. Jammy and hedonistic are common descriptions Each person should bring one bottle of an quality Zinfandel wine; be creative and quality conscious, with some bottle age if possible. Turley, Martinelli, Biale, Seghesio, Ridge, Hartford Bedrock, Carlisle, Klinker Brick, Frog's Leap, and anything from the Rockpile vineyard is likely to be very good to great. The Prisoner wines began as a Zinfandel blend. Also bring a protein based appetizer to share and **a wine glass for your personal use.** Cheese and meats are best with these wines. There will be a gas grill behind the clubhouse to grill. We’ll gather at the Oak Creek clubhouse, where the Dublin Wine Group, hosted by Thom and supported by Timothy, will take it from there. **Comedy Night + Open Mic + Freestyle**: Tristan Shae and friends return to entertain us and to warm the group up for our open mic session. February's Open Mic / Comedy Night was a smash hit and it's worth a second night. We'll start with Tristan Shae and a couple of his friends. Tristan is an alternative comic from Columbus, Ohio. A counselor by day, Tristan explores how comedy can improve mental health by telling jokes and stories that muse on how absurd life can be from squeaky clean topics to not so clean ones. Tristan produces the variety show Cheaper Than Therapy, hosts the weekly Problem Child Alt Comedy Open Mic at The Attic, and can be found engaging in all sorts of silliness around the city from stand up shows at The Nest Theater, The Attic, or The Funny Bone, to improv and sketch shows with various groups at various venues such as The Hashtag Comedy Club. **On Freestyle night** \- just bring a bottle to share\. We practice, dance, and enjoy a BYOB bottle of your favorite wine at the Dublin Ballroom off Sawmill, North, and “milonga” is a social event for tango dancing where dancers socialize. A “*practica*” is an informal social event for tango dancing where dancers focus on practicing the dance; while a “*practilonga*” combines the relaxed atmosphere of a “*practica*” with the format of a “milonga.” We are doing it all! ***Cost is $10 payable to the Teacher.*** *Cost is for the cost of the venue and covers some snacks.* We have had fun doing this event in the past. Please arrive promptly as lessons begin at 2pm.
