Join us for a relaxed evening walk along the beach from South Melbourne towards St Kilda Pier. We’ll follow the waterfront path, with bay views, beach paths, and a social, low-pressure pace. The full AllTrails route is about 7.1 km return, listed as moderate, with minimal elevation. AllTrails also lists it as an out-and-back trail, so we can keep the plan flexible depending on how people are feeling. You can choose what suits you: * Shorter option: walk one way towards St Kilda Pier and head off from there. Trams are available nearby. * Full option: walk back with the group towards South Melbourne. This is a casual walk, not a fitness challenge. Join us for one hour of beach cleaning, socialising, and generally being a good person. It's a perfect time to head down to clean up the beaches that you love. Meeting Spot: Kerferd Rd Pier When: Every third Saturday, 9am - 10am Please arrive 850am for a 9am start! Bags provided. Please bring your own gloves if you like. Feel free to invite neighbours/family/friends/colleagues, etc to join in and lend a hand as we tidy up our beaches and bay!! 3205 Beach Patrol is a group that meets for One Hour each month to clear rubbish from South Melbourne Beach. Totally voluntary, totally optional, totally local. We meet every THIRD Saturday, same place, same time. Beach Patrol is a chain of volunteer community groups each defined by suburb, post code and t-shirt colour. Starting in 2009, by mid-2015 there were 18 groups running, covering over 50 km of beach across the top of Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay with approx. 1500 volunteers signed up to help keep our beaches clean.

We blend dance with pilates and strength and resistance training to help elevate your workout and boost your mood. We have around 12 people in class most days and our customers come from all over the Bayside area, not just through Meetup. Bring a water bottle, towel and a mat if you have one. **Sahaja Yoga Meditation** offers free, guided collective meditation sessions for everyone. Each class includes a simple introduction to meditation, basic techniques for inner balance, and a short talk or discussion on a topic of the day. These meditation classes are suitable for **complete beginners** and **regular meditators**. No prior knowledge or experience is required. **Chairs are provided**, and there are **no physical exercises, postures, or special clothing** needed. Classes usually run for **60 to 90 minutes**, and **no booking is required**. Every session is free and led by volunteers who share Sahaja Yoga to help others experience peace, balance, and self-realisation.

**Your True Self** **A gentle guided meditation for unmasking.** reconnecting, and returning to yourself. So much of life teaches us who to be. How to act. How to cope. How to stay liked, capable, productive, easy-going, strong. Over time, these layers can become so familiar that we stop noticing them. The body begins carrying them quietly, in tension, in vigilance, in overthinking, in the feeling of always needing to hold ourselves together. **This Saturday morning meditation is an invitation to gently step beneath those layers.** Slowing down enough to hear what is underneath the noise. **Through Yoga Nidra, somatic awareness**, **hypnotic visualisation, breath, and grounding nature imagery**, we’ll explore what it feels like to gradually loosen the identities, expectations, and protective patterns we’ve carried for years, and reconnect with something quieter and more instinctive underneath. **The session will unfold slowly and gently while lying on the grass in Edinburgh Gardens**, surrounded by the stillness of the morning and the movement of the trees overhead. **This practice may feel especially supportive if you are:** • Feeling disconnected from yourself or your body. • Tired of constantly overthinking or analysing. • Feeling emotionally or mentally overstimulated. • Navigating change, uncertainty, or transition. • Wanting to reconnect with your intuition in a more embodied way. • Longing to feel more grounded, present, and internally steady. **This session is designed to help you:** • Soften layers of tension and performance held in the body. • Reconnect with your body as a place of awareness and guidance. • Build trust in your own internal signals and intuition. • Quiet mental noise and deepen present-moment awareness. • Feel more connected to yourself beneath conditioning and expectation. **Session Structure:** **We’ll begin with Yoga Nidra**, a guided deep rest practice where you simply lie down and allow the body to settle. Through slow awareness moving through the body, the nervous system begins softening out of alertness and into deeper presence. **From there, we’ll move into a long-form guided visual meditation** focused on unmasking and reconnecting with your true self beneath conditioning, expectation, and performance. Using grounded forest imagery, somatic awareness, and gentle hypnotic language, you’ll be guided into a quieter space beneath the constant movement of thought, where the body can begin communicating more clearly again. **No meditation experience is needed. This session is beginner-friendly and fully guided from start to finish.** **When and Where** 🗓 Saturday, 16th May ⏰ 10:00am – 11:30am (1.5 hours) 📍 Edinburgh Gardens, Fitzroy North We’ll set up on the grass near the Rotunda. Look for my yoga mat and the large pink sign that says “Free Guided Meditation.” **Weather Notes** This is an outdoor session. If the weather becomes rainy or unsuitable, I’ll update the Meetup event beforehand. **Brighton to Point Ormond – Elwood Beach** ***As it is Mothers Day next Sunday, our next walk will be the following Sunday, 17th May.*** This popular walk along the Elwood foreshore is the perfect outing for an autumn Sunday morning. Join the thousands of Melburnians who regularly walk, jog and ride this wide, well-formed path along the shores of the Bay. Our coffee stop this morning will be at Northpoint Cafe, after we’ve walked from Brighton Beach to Point Ormond and return. **Start:** Bay St, Brighton. Assemble at the beach end of Bay St. **Parking:** Park along Bay Street or in St Ninians Road, off Bay St, just back from the beach. Parking is FREE. **The Walk**: The walk is along the Bayside Trail as far as Point Ormond Lookout and then return the same way. **Total distance**: 6.0 km. **Time:** Allow 2 hours for the walk, including coffee at the end. **Difficulty:** Easy **Toilets:** At several places along the way. **Coffee:** The café at Northpoint Cafe, or other venue (selected on the day) **Cost:** Free
