Welcome, New York entrepreneurs, freelancers & independents!

The coworking community is composed of entrepreneurs, freelancers, telecommuters, and other location-independent workers who seek to work alongside one another and share resources.

This Meetup group will offer events ranging from workshops to talks to happy hours, all in the interest of helping healthily grow and educate the NYC independent community.

The focus is not on networking, but on building healthy relationships, sharing knowledge, and having some good fun while we're at it :-)

Most events are held at New Work City, Manhattan's community coworking space (http://nwcny.com). New Work City functions as a coworking space during business hours and offers daily drop-in rates, and then converts to an event space in the evening for our events as well as events for other meetups, including our sister Meetup, the Runway Project (http://meetup.com/runwayproject).
