As night falls, illuminated drones will take off to create breathtaking shapes in the sky, choreographed flawlessly to the music. The plan is to meet at 6:00, and walk for about 2 hours. We'll pass Cerro Negro Peak and continue north towards Descanso Gardens, with about 200 feet of elevation gain each way. Hike is on wide dirt roads and single track paths. Then we return to our cars by 8:15, and walk or drive to the second trailhead, get our chairs/blankets and snacks out of our cars and hike a half mile up the dirt road to the mini-peak, plunk down on top and watch the Rose bowl drones and other fireworks displays.
