Concerts in the Park: Personal Picnic + Blue Breeze Band Jazz Night (Altadena)
Sun, Aug 16, 12:30 AMCome join me on **Saturday, August 15th**, for a fun evening featuring a live performance by the **Blue Breeze Band** at **Loma Alto Park** in **Altadena**! For more than 15 years, the **Blue Breeze Band** has entertained audiences throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii with an energetic mix of Motown, R&B, Soul, Funk, Jazz, and Blues. This award-winning dance band is known for its outstanding musicianship and crowd-pleasing performances, featuring classic Top 40 hits, Motown favorites, R&B, Soul, Funk, '90s Hip-Hop, and Jazz & Blues. Bring your dancing shoes and enjoy an evening of great music, good company, and summer fun! The concert starts at 7 PM, but feel free to arrive early at 5:30 PM to hang out, get settled, and enjoy a personal picnic. There will be no group potluck. Each speaker will then receive a 2-3 minute oral evaluation to help him or her understand what was done well in the speech and what areas offer opportunities for growth. The table topics section provides the opportunity to practice thinking on your feet and impromptu speaking for 1-2 minutes. Our meetings are always fun and guests are always welcome. You may bring lunch (take out is available on the "A" level from Trimana). Parking will not be validated (rates as of 09/27/16, $4.25 for each 12 minutes, maximum $34).
