**Ring Mountain Habitat Restoration Work Days** Fridays, April 10 and May 8, 2026, 9:30am-12pm Leader: Amanda Magallanes, Ring Mountain Stewardship Coordinator Marin CNPS Coordinator: Caroline Christman Location: Ring Mountain Preserve, Tiburon Ring Mountain is well-known for beautiful views and stunning wildflower displays. Its serpentine grasslands are home to several rare plants including the Oakland star tulip ( Calochortus umbellatus ) and the Tiburon mariposa lily ( Calochortus tiburonensis ), which is found nowhere else. CNPS has a long history of supporting Ring Mountain and is continuing that work with a stewardship focus. Join us for 2nd Friday work days for a morning of hands-on work to protect native habitat. We will focus on removing non-native invasive plants, such as tocalote (Centaurea melitensis), false brome ( Brachypodium distachyon ), and Italian thistle (Carduus pycnocephalus). Removing invasive plants frees space and resources for native grasses and wildflowers to thrive. After a morning of rewarding work, Amanda will lead a short plant walk to enjoy the abundant wildflowers including tidy tips, goldfields, and owl’s clover, and to see if the Tiburon mariposa lily is blooming. During the work day we will be using hand tools to remove invasive plants and will be kneeling and working in tall grass. This location is exposed and can be windy. Marin County staff will provide tools and gloves. Bring a reusable water bottle and a snack, sun and wind protection, long pants, and sturdy close-toed shoes. Limit: 15 attendees Heavy rain cancels; cancellations will be posted on Meetup. Directions: Meet at the gate at the end of Taylor Rd. in Tiburon (dead-end street). From there we will walk together to our weeding site, which is approximately 0.3 miles with 100 ft of elevation gain (about a 10-minute walk).

San Francisco Green Drinks is pleased to announce we are hosting our monthly **In-person Happy Hour Networking Event** on the **Second Thursday** **of every month**, at **Southern Pacific Brewing** \- a venue that should be familiar to our friends from Climatebase\, Work on Climate\, and others in the San Francisco Bay Area Climate Solutions Community\! Southern Pacific Brewing is located in a spacious warehouse in the Mission's industrial heart, that has been renovated into a bright and expansive brewery and restaurant complete with outdoor seating. It's about 6 blocks, or a 15-minute walk (less by bike!) from 16th Street Mission BART, so please plan ahead! Look for us at a table inside or in the Courtyard, depending on weather and crowds. Remember to bring your business cards, your positive attitude and your interest in discussing sustainability and climate change. Nametags will be available, but reusable ones are encouraged. **Friends** **This week we are meeting at Espresso Roma Cafe in Berkeley. There are a few picnic tables on the side of the cafe that can accommodate about 24 people. When facing the cafe they are on the left side in the grassy area, This is where we will be meeting. In order to keep it to 24 people do not attend if you are on the waitlist as this is causing the crowd to get too large. If you show up and are not on the going list you will be asked to leave or sit somewhere else. Three no shows will get you removed from the group so please change your RSVP if you cannot make it and give someone on the waitlist a chance to come. Please don’t do this at the last minute unless it’s an emergency. We will be posting the coffee meetups month by month to give more of the newcomers a chance to sign up and get a spot. Moving forward we will talk to the owners about providing enough chairs for the long tables and not just the smaller ones. There do not seem to be enough chairs at the long tables and moving the chairs from the smaller ones was causing a problem since then other patrons were not able to sit down at the smaller tables. 10 people will initially be allowed to sign up and then we will attempt to balance the group by gender to 24 attendees. Gents Hangout + Social (Men ONLY)

Hey gents, this event is a **men only** hangout at a local beer hall. We did this event once before and I was a bit surprised at the turnout and the great conversations/connections that took place. The goal of this event is to make some friends and hangout in a fun environment without having to act all macho in front of the women. The women in our group have been hosting some awesome social events over the past few months so I thought it was about time for us to get to know and connect with some of the other male members in the group. Fun Fact: I went to an all-boy high school and at the time I was enrolled I hated the idea and thought it was torture. But in the end, I actually met some of my closest friends and grew strong bonds with some of the other students just because of our ability to connect without the "distractions". Anyhow, for this event we'll get together at a local beer hall that has recently occupied the old Mikkeller location. The plan is to just hangout, enjoy some adult beverages, share some stories, and support each other in our never-ending dating endeavors. It should be a really chill hangout and members are welcome to just pop in briefly and introduce themselves if they'd like.
