This event will be for people to meet, go off and film, come back and enjoy the results. Whatever you want to do, be it film, act, direct or even just sort of hang around at the back then this is the event for you! MEET AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE NATIONAL THEATRE. If you are wondering what this group can provide for you, it’s above all else friendship with other like minded people, whether you are a screenwriter, director, cameraperson, actor etc etc. With that in mind, on Saturday we will do the following: 1. We’ll meet at the National Theatre on Southbank. 2. We’ll split into two groups (or more if needed) 3. Each team will try and beat the other teams to a pub in EC1 in London and edit (maybe) the film. BUT 4. Each team must make a 2 minute 30 seconds film on the way with a beginning middle and end, a solid story arc for the main character, etc. Remember to bring: 1. You and your enthusiasm 2. A camera (iPhones dslrs whatever) 3. Someone willing to do an edit after we arrive back at the on their computers All teams will then meet-up at a pub in EC1 and watch what we have filmed, happy with what they have learnt! The first team that finishes gets a Small Prize! Hopefully then, you will stick around to have a great time chatting about film, meeting new people, and forgetting about work until the late hours. **🚪₪ Through endless, untold rooms, I’ve found my way here… The more they remember me, the less they let me go. And the only thing louder than my heartbeat is the silence.** 👋 **Hello guys!** Let’s meet for this intriguing concept film directed by **Kane Parsons.** It’s based on his own **[web series](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVAh-MgDVqvDUEq6qDXqORBioE4Yhol_z)**, inspired by the **[Backrooms Creepypasta](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgjHA-1VRK4)**, a horror legend that’s been widely shared online. **The Backrooms** themselves are a fictional location that originated from a **[2019 4chan thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/backrooms/comments/xn7e0j/the_origin_of_the_backrooms_was_a_post_on_4chan/)**, so there are quite a few rabbit holes to go down here. It’s crazy how many big names are producing this—Osgood Perkins, James Wan, and Shawn Levy, to name a few. The premise of this **A24** expanded supernatural, science fiction, psychological horror—yeah, quite the mouthful—follows a therapist investigating a mysterious, infinite, damp, yellow-walled dimension after a patient disappears through a doorway. Let’s make this a **film and social** with plenty to talk about. We’ll start with some **predictions** and **theories** at the **Victory House Wine Bar** from **4:30pm**. The Mayor of London's free annual festival is back! Bringing Londoners and visitors together to celebration Eid al-Adha, this year marks the 20th anniversary Eid has been held in the iconic Trafalgar Square. This event is developed through relationships with our Eid Community Advisory Group, other community groups and arts organisations, celebrating London's diverse Muslim communities in the form of art, culture, literature, history, fashion and food. Eid on the Square celebrates London's diverse Muslim communities, with involvement and attendance from wider Muslim communities from London and abroad: Turkish, Middle Eastern, Palestinians, Malaysians, Indonesians, North Africa and South Asian communities, and non-Muslims alike. This is an opportunity for attendees to connect directly with thousands of Londoners from the Muslim community, as well as bring different communities together in a celebration on Trafalgar Square. This year the main stage is being curated by our Creative Programme Partner, [WAW Creative Arts](https://www.wawcreativearts.com/), and will be hosted by Nadia Ali and Juwayria Ghazali. Watch out for an exciting line up of acts including: London Arab Orchestra, Al Nour Group, Khaled Siddiq and Isam B. 1. We typically socialise at cafés after the exhibit, nice, independent ones, not chains and not at pubs. If the event is late on a Saturday we go to a nice bar/pub for drinks after. This meetup is inclusive and everyone is welcome to join.

3. Once we go in we may separate, feel free to explore the exhibit by yourself, we don't have to be together. ⚙️ **Everybody has one hidden talent, evidently!** 👋 **Hey guys,** happy Sunday roasting as we're putting **Tuner**, directed by **Daniel Roher**, under the microscope tonight. This film is tagged as a crime thriller that follows a piano tuner, played by **Leo Woodal**l, who becomes involved in safe cracking to help his mentor, played by **Dustin Hoffman**. The film is noted for its sound design and the dynamic between the two leads, but as hardcore movie fans, it would be fun to find out for ourselves whether it lives up to the hype. We're bringing out the toys today - we have ideas for a couple of setups prepared for you, and we also have extra action figures and Lego minifigures for you to collaborate and create! * We will meet outside the Hamilton Hall Pub, Liverpool Street Station, Bishopsgate Exit. * We will then make our way via Spitalfields and Brick Lane, where we will explore the history and diversity of East London with truly amazing street art photo-ops, a part of the London Mural festival. The road is also a home to numerous independent Victorian shops. * We will then proceed to Columbia Road Market, which is London's principal flower market devoted to selling plants, flowers, garden fittings and gardening equipment. We will reassemble at the end of the market. * We will then return via Hoxton and Spitalfields to Liverpool Street station. Optional drinks/lunch at the end of walk at Hamilton Hall (Wetherspoons). If people prefer street food from the Brick Lane market, or indeed from the famous bagel shops, they can always join us for a drink at the pub later. The walk is free for members who have subscribed for an annual membership. For other members the fee is £5 cash/card on arrival to contribute towards the organiser's Meetup fees and costs. The annual pass option is £15 payable by cash/card on the day. This will provide access to at least 40 walks per year (members are welcome to bring a guest to each event). All walks are free for the NHS staff (also welcome to bring a guest). **It's the 20th Anniversary of the Fandorica in May!
