Prolific author Mary DeMuth (http://www.marydemuth.com/) will join us on Thursday, May 25, to discuss the art of author branding, an essential requirement to selling books long after launch day has ended.
Like every Dallas Nonfiction Authors Association meeting, we'll meet from 7 to 9 p.m. at Deep Vellum Books every fourth Thursday of the month.
7:00 to 7:30: Informal networking
7:30 to 8:00: Group announcements and introductions by all attendees
8:00 to 8:40: The Art of Author Branding, Mary DeMuth
8:40 to 8:50: Mastermind Spotlight: We'll draw names for the opportunity to receive a five-minute spotlight slot to present a challenge you're having in writing, publishing, or marketing, and you'll receive feedback from the group. (NFAA Authority members receive priority placement in the spotlight.)
8:50 to 9:00: Door prize drawing and meeting wrap-up

They specialize in a highly curated collection of works from around the world, focusing on promoting independent presses and the art of translation. Newcomers always attend their first meeting for free. He will set your RSVP to yes on Meetup so that you won't have to pay the $10 online registration.
Subsequent meetings will have an attendant cost of $10 if paid in advance through the Meetup group or $15 if paid at the door.
However, Authority Members of the NFAA get free access to local chapter meetings. If you're an Authority member, print out your membership page by logging into your NFAA account, and bring it with you to our next meeting for complimentary meeting admission. This is not a leads group. If your primary objective is to sell something, this isn't the group for you. We're here to support each other on the publishing journey. We welcome experienced and aspiring writers of nonfiction. Invite a nonfiction-writing friend or two to join our Meetup group and register for this event. Walk-ups will also be accommodated, but we greatly appreciate registrations as that helps us better plan each meeting. Note: All meetings occur on the fourth Thursday of every month at Deep Vellum Books from 7 to 9 p.m.
