Great Music Belongs to Everyone

The **Golden Gate Symphony Orchestra & Chorus** has always believed that great music shouldn't be reserved for a single concert hall — and this spring, that belief takes center stage. Maestro Urs Leonhardt Steiner leads the full orchestra and chorus in two Bay Area performances of Carl Orff's iconic Carmina Burana, paired with Vivaldi's Gloria and excerpts from The Four Seasons. **Featuring:** Gabrielle Goozee-Nichols, Soprano; Anne Richnavsky, Soprano; Hilary Hecht, Soprano; Alodiah Lunar, Mezzo-Soprano; Jack Wilkins, Tenor; Harlan Hays, Baritone **Special Guests:** Areté Singers · Golden Gate Boys Choir · San Francisco Boys Chorus · Voena Children's Choir The program continues this summer at Festival Scuol Classics in Scuol, Switzerland.

Toastmasters LGBT - Rainbow Toastmasters

Hello Future Unicorns!!! Welcome to the queer side of toastmaster’s, we might be gay but we still start on time🕡. Our toastmasters group is a safe space to work on your public speaking 🗣️ skills, make new friends, share stories, and hear the kiki in our community We welcome all spectrums of the rainbow 🌈 including our allies because everyone can be a Unicorn in our world. 🦄 Our members are based all around the world 🌎 so we have a strong virtual attendance even on hybrid nights. However, if you’re local or just in town we would love ❤️ to see you in-person 🧑 on our hybrid nights. *If you haven’t been to a toastmaster meeting here is a rough outline:* **Introduction –** We go over an agenda, people who have already been assigned roles give a brief description of their duties. **Speakers 👩‍💻 –** This is where the magic happens. Members give prepared speeches ranging from a first timer to a professional orientator regaling us on how he became a jeopardy champion. **Table Topics 🤷‍♂️ –** These are short impromptu speeches lasting between one to two minutes based off a provided question. Don’t worry you don’t have to give a straight answer. 💅 **Evaluation 👩‍🏫 –** In the third act evaluators review our skills, time, grammar, and filler words. We also have special event nights like XXX, Halloween, Backwards Meeting, and murder mystery night. So come join us….

(In Person) Our Monthly Concert

This event consists of * A concert with 6-8 performers, followed by * A potluck supper and classical "jam session", held at a member's home. If you want to perform for the concert please sign up here, preferably well in advance of the event: https://goo.gl/HgfXBz If you haven't performed one of our events before, you must attend at least one BAMC concert as a listener prior to performing. Speak with one of the organizers (Molly, Lily, or David) at an event if you would like to perform with us. COVID: masks are optional. Please do not attend if you have ANY cold or flu symptoms.

Aquí no importa tu nivel de español, desde principiantes hasta hablantes nativos, todos son bienvenidos. **La Hora Feliz at Muddy Waters Cafe!** === **NOTES TO NEWCOMERS:** \* If you are NEW to the event, please arrive around or after 6:30 PM. Most of the regulars arrive from work and sometimes after dinner, so there's NO expectation we will be right on time. \* Depending on the mood of the group, and events in the venue, the group may stay past 9PM, and sometimes go somewhere else after the venue closes. \* Most of the regulars tend to not confirm at the Meetup invite (And that's OK, we're a relaxed group), so the group is usually bigger than the number of confirmed people. \* How to find us? Just check with the owner / waitresses / hosts so they can point you to the group, they already know most of the regulars. \* There is no obligation to consume any food/drinks there, but is a nice to help support the place, since they let us hang out in their premises. \* Format of conversation is 100% Spanish. It's not a language exchange, but usually it's up to whoever you are speaking to (People get tired, after all). \* The group is a mix of Spanish native speakers and people that are advanced, or close to that. But we don't really have a minimum level, it depends on your level of comfort. You can always ask others to speak slowly or clarify, that's also OK. Everybody is nice! Salud! -Federico
