Hello fellow gamers and 420 lovers! **Press X to Munch** is a 420 celebration open to gamers of all varieties, especially 420 lovers. The premise is simple, come lounge with us, get munchies like never before, and meet some of the most passionate gamers this side of California! Don’t forget to bring a towel! (iykyk) **Games Provided by Host:** Multiple console gaming stations with Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Play Station 4 with games such as Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Overcooked, Gang Beasts, and more! Additionally, there will be party games like Taco-Cat-Goat-Cheese-Pizza, Cards Against Humanity, and more! For those who crave a psychedelic journey - a VR station will be setup with Realms of Flow so you can sit back, relax, and let the world around you fade away. **Alcohol and 420:** Our venue is in a non-smoking community but a dedicated smoking zone will be established. Please do not smoke outside the designated space or indoors, or you may be asked to leave. Edible 420 products, vapes, and electric dab rigs are highly proffered and are okay for use anywhere on the roof! For safety reasons, please **do not bring torches** to the venue. **NO CIGARETTES.** Alcohol such as beer and wine are acceptable but absolutely **NO HARD ALCOHOL**. Please drink, consume, vape, and smoke responsibly. **A Flock of Gamers and the host are not responsible for any participant that uses substances beyond reasonable limits.** Highly intoxicated participants may be asked to leave. **What to Bring:** Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite games to share! Anyone may set up their own gaming console / game at any station not being used. Due to limited power access, if you wish to bring your own display, please reach out to the host for approval first. Anyone who provides a game, console, or equipment to share with guests is encouraged to establish their own rules for the safe handling of their items and all guests are expected to respect and abide by those rules. If you are not bringing a console or game, please bring a controller just in case! **Food and BBQ:** The host will be providing water and other snacks. Guests may bring any food items they wish and are encouraged to bring something shareable. 2 Barbeque pits are available to any guest who wants to prepare food for themselves or others. Sharing your favorite home cooked food with good people is how it’s done best! **Gamers Get Cooked** is a gathering of our community's most passionate chefs, bakers, and culinary experimenters! This is a potluck style event where the only admission fee is a home cooked contribution to the fun! Bust out your favorite handmade dish and we will do the same, then together we will feast and discuss our mutual appreciation for the craft. Yum! Don't Cook or bake? That's OK! We challenge you to bring food from your favorite **local** restaurant or bakery! Bonus points if no one has heard of it! Your host will be making BBQ chicken and Tofu! Guests are welcome to use any available grill to prepare their dish! **Whatever you cook or bring, make sure it's enough to share for 5-10 people. The premise is simple: put on your sneakers, head out the front door, and bask in the sunlight as we remind ourselves how far life stretches beyond our screens! There is no end to the green grass on every side! **Here's the Plan so far:** Meet at: ELYSIAN PARK RECREATION CENTER 929 Academy Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90012 We will be waiting at the tables at the front of the building until 10:30. At which time we will move our group to the grassy area between the recreation center and the police academy. If you arrive late, please contact Troy or Dior. From First Play: L.A. Board Game Playtesters

**Players and game designers wanted for this open house style event!** Please read the event schedule, and all members, new and old, should check out the Code of Conduct at the bottom of this text. **FEE:** $8 to play at Geeky Teas - payable at the event to Geeky Teas at front desk. Once paid, you're covered to play games ALL DAY. **DESIGNER SIGN UP**: If you have a game to test during session one or two we have a new sign up protocol: **Fill out the form here- [First Play Designer Signup](https://gorgeous-mule-37d.notion.site/1c9a3d4ed35b8034b34ced27ef3d1c40)** Please read the descriptions of each time to determine if your game is appropriate for a scheduled session. *Note: new members must come to First Play as a playtester at least once before having the opportunity to run a game. If this is your first time showing your game at FPLA, please introduce yourself to either Damon or Cassandra (one or both will be near the front of the room) before your session for a quick explainer on how to get your game to the table and what to expect from playtesting.* **SCHEDULE:** Game days have 3 segments. **You do not need to come for the whole day!** However, it is good etiquette if you are testing your own game to stay and test at least one other designer's game as well. 11:00am - 1:00 pm **OPEN PLAY TESTING** This is unstructured play time, ideal for short games (45min or less), 2 player games, and games that require a quieter environment. If you're a designer, grab an available table and let people know you are looking for players. If you're a player, just sit down at a game and play! **SESSION ONE** 1:15pm - 3:15pm **SESSION TWO** 3:30pm - 5:30pm Scheduled sessions are the core of First Play! This event we have three scheduled sessions, with about 4-6 games running during each time slot. Following moderator announcements, each designer running a game will have the opportunity to do an 'elevator pitch' to players. After which, players decide which game they want to play. Two hour sessions are ideal for games that are 60-90 minutes, and have been playtested multiple times before. After play, be sure to leave time to give and receive feedback. Oh, and sometimes we give away prizes! 5:30-6:30pm **DINNER BREAK** 6:30-10pm **THE SKUNKWORKS** This is unstructured time to test your wildest ideas. Bring the game that may break in 5 minutes, the one that requires 10 people, or the one that may involve crawling on the ground. Bring objects that *could* be games, half baked ideas, and untested print and plays. Be respectful of other community members- give as much as you receive. Playtest other peoples' games, not just your own. 8. In the case of an unresolvable or continuing conflict, please let a moderator know so we can determine next steps. 9. You will receive a warning if a legitimate complaint is lodged against you.
