You can print from your laptop - the attendant can tell you how. Make sure the copy machine is set to black and white, and NOT color - so you aren't paying three times as much for color copies when all you need is black and white. You can also ask the attendant to make sure it is the thinner paper, and not the heavier paper that costs more). Staples closes at 6PM. Also, print double sided copies to save $ and paper. **We write feedback directly on the pages, and also give verbal feedback.** **Be prepared to assign your character dialogue to be read out loud by various people in attendance, and assign one person to be the narrator of the scene headings and description.** **We give verbal feedback after each set of pages.** **As a writer receives feedback, they are to be silent, even if asked questions. Listen. Take notes.** Feedback you consider "wrong" could instead be helpful in giving you some excellent ideas. Welcome it. Even if you then do the direct opposite in your script revision. **Sometimes attend when your pages aren't being read.** That will build your skills in unexpected ways. Participate in helping other writers with their scripts. **Please stay for the entire workshop.** **If you are not of the first 4 signing up for pages,** you can type **"backup pages"** as a comment – in case anyone cancels pages. **After you workshop 13 pages** (or the entire episode of a multi-cam) – **before you bring in the next pages – READ THE ENTIRE SCRIPT to give it a wave of polish.** **If you only have a few pages remaining unworkshopped,** still bring in 13 pages of the script = the remaining pages + pages before it = re-workshopping some of the previous pages. **Each script is the intellectual property of the writer.** **“If you’re not early, you’re late.”** – John Ritter

 Let's Play Ultimate Werewolves/Two Rooms and a Boom Party Game + Boba/Tacos

Let's Play Ultimate Werewolves/Two Rooms and a Boom Party Game + Boba/Tacos

Sun, Apr 19, 12:00 AM
From SoCal 20s, 30s and 40s Social Club
4.8

* **Time**: Saturday - Doors open 5:00 PM * **Doors close**: 5:30 PM (hard close - no entry after) * **Game starts**: 5:30 PM (sharp; name tags finalized) * **Cover fee:** $5.00 per person for individuals who have attended 5 events or less in the past 3 months * **Location**: MEET TEA * **Address**: 5817 Rosemead Blvd, Temple City, CA 91780 \~\~\~\~\~\~\~ **Two Rooms and a Boom** This is a dedicated Two Rooms and a Boom night - fast rounds, big social energy, lots of laughs, and dessert to keep the vibes sweet while the accusations get spicy. Two Rooms and a Boom is a high-energy social deduction / negotiation party game. We split into two rooms (two groups), everyone receives a secret role, and you will spend short timed rounds talking, bluffing, trading information, and trying to figure out who is on which team. After each round, a few “hostages” swap rooms, and by the end, the final room mix determines which side wins. It is quick to learn, chaotic in the best way, and stays engaging because the room rotations constantly change who you are working with (or working against). For an 18-player group, please plan for a total playtime of about 30 minutes per game (this includes rule reminders, timed discussion rounds, hostage swaps between rooms, and the final reveal/scoring). Total time per game: 30 minutesBreak between games: 10 minutes \~\~\~\~\~\~\~ **Ultimate Werewolf** If we have time and enough interested players, we may also run Ultimate Werewolf, a classic social deduction game that is easy to learn, fast-paced, and great for larger groups. In Ultimate Werewolf, players are secretly assigned roles on opposing teams, usually Villagers and Werewolves, with some players receiving special abilities that can help uncover information, protect others, or create confusion. During the “day,” everyone discusses, accuses, and tries to determine who can be trusted, while during the “night,” the moderator calls on specific roles to act in secret. The game is highly interactive and driven by bluffing, deduction, and social reads. It is simple to pick up, exciting for groups, and approachable for first-timers. \~\~\~\~\~\~\~ **Food plan**: This meetup is hosted at MEET TEA, and everyone must purchase at least one item directly from MEET TEA. If you want to eat or order before the game starts, arrive early so you can place your order and still be ready for the 5:30 PM hard start. During breaks, please keep purchases quick and be mindful of the round schedule so we can stay on time. Bring a good poker face, a friendly attitude, and dessert energy - then let’s see who can talk their way to the win. **Venue Purchase Requirement:** Everyone must purchase at least one item from the menu at MEET TEA. **About the Menu:** MEET TEA serves desserts, snacks, and milk teas, with both classic and specialty tea options, plus additional food and snack items. Please plan accordingly and support the venue by ordering at least one item during the event. \~\~\~\~\~\~\~ **Disclaimers & Event Policies (Please Read)** **Hobbyist-run event / no venue affiliation:** This is a hobbyist-run social event. We are not affiliated with MEET TEA in any way. We are regular, paying customers, and this meetup is independently organized. **Assumption of risk**: Attendance is at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety, conduct, and well-being before, during, and after the event. By attending, you assume all risk of injury, loss, or damages related to your participation. **Respect for game components:** Please handle all board game components with care. Do not bend, fold, crease, crumble, mark, or otherwise damage any game pieces, cards, or materials. Intentional or negligent damage may result in a permanent ban from future board game nights. **No-show and cancellation policy (24-hour requirement):** If you cannot attend, you must cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice. No-shows or late cancellations may result in removal from the group and/or a ban from future events. If you experience a genuine emergency, notify the organizer (Andy) as soon as possible. **Respectful conduct**: Treat everyone with respect and basic courtesy. This is a friendly social environment. Disrespectful, hostile, disruptive, or otherwise inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the event and/or restriction from future meetups. \~\~\~\~\~\~\~ Event will cancel if there is not enough people. We need a minimum of 12 people. \~\~\~\~\~\~\~ Accordingly, any cancellation made within 24 hours before the event start time will result in an immediate ban from all future events. If a ban is later lifted at the organizer’s sole discretion, a $100 per person deposit (Venmo to Andy) will be required for all future events. Failure to attend results in forfeiture of the deposit. \~\~\~\~\~\~\~ By signing up, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. \~\~\~\~\~\~\~ **Active Community Fee Policy** Starting March 9, 2026, attendees are subject to an Active Community Fee of up to $25 per calendar year. For events where this fee applies, $5.00 per event will be charged and credited toward the attendee’s $25.00 annual Active Community Fee until the full $25.00 has been paid for that calendar year. Once an attendee has satisfied the full $25.00 requirement, no additional Active Community Fee will be owed for the remainder of that same calendar year, provided the attendee remains active under the attendance requirement described below. This fee is a condition of continued participation in the community and is intended to support committed, ongoing attendance. Satisfaction of the $25.00 Active Community Fee grants the attendee the privilege of continued participation in eligible events for the remainder of that calendar year, without further Active Community Fee charges, unless that status is later reset under this policy. To remain current under this policy, an attendee must continue attending at least one event within every rolling three-month period after beginning payment toward the Active Community Fee. If an attendee stops attending for more than three months, their progress toward the $25.00 annual requirement resets. In that case, the attendee must begin again at $5.00 per applicable event until the $25.00 requirement is satisfied again. This policy resets with each new calendar year. Regardless of prior participation, all attendees must satisfy the Active Community Fee again in the next calendar year under the same terms. If an attendee is removed, banned, or denied future participation due to misconduct, disrespectful behavior, disruptive conduct, or other policy violations, any amounts previously paid toward the Active Community Fee are non-refundable. Payment of the fee does not create a right to attend and does not guarantee continued access to events. Participation remains a privilege and is always subject to organizer discretion and community standards. By attending, you acknowledge and agree to this fee policy.
