Hello fellow gamers and 420 lovers! **Press X to Munch** is a 420 celebration open to gamers of all varieties, especially 420 lovers. The premise is simple, come lounge with us, get munchies like never before, and meet some of the most passionate gamers this side of California! Don’t forget to bring a towel! (iykyk) **Games Provided by Host:** Multiple console gaming stations with Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Play Station 4 with games such as Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Overcooked, Gang Beasts, and more! Additionally, there will be party games like Taco-Cat-Goat-Cheese-Pizza, Cards Against Humanity, and more! For those who crave a psychedelic journey - a VR station will be setup with Realms of Flow so you can sit back, relax, and let the world around you fade away. **Alcohol and 420:** Our venue is in a non-smoking community but a dedicated smoking zone will be established. Please do not smoke outside the designated space or indoors, or you may be asked to leave. Edible 420 products, vapes, and electric dab rigs are highly proffered and are okay for use anywhere on the roof! For safety reasons, please **do not bring torches** to the venue. **NO CIGARETTES.** Alcohol such as beer and wine are acceptable but absolutely **NO HARD ALCOHOL**. Please drink, consume, vape, and smoke responsibly. **A Flock of Gamers and the host are not responsible for any participant that uses substances beyond reasonable limits.** Highly intoxicated participants may be asked to leave. **What to Bring:** Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite games to share! Anyone may set up their own gaming console / game at any station not being used. Due to limited power access, if you wish to bring your own display, please reach out to the host for approval first. Anyone who provides a game, console, or equipment to share with guests is encouraged to establish their own rules for the safe handling of their items and all guests are expected to respect and abide by those rules. If you are not bringing a console or game, please bring a controller just in case! **Food and BBQ:** The host will be providing water and other snacks. Guests may bring any food items they wish and are encouraged to bring something shareable. 2 Barbeque pits are available to any guest who wants to prepare food for themselves or others. Forte Animal Rescue Volunteer Orientation

Attention all dog lovers! If you’re interested in volunteering with an animal rescue organization, please consider Forte Animal Rescue, a 100% volunteer group. We need volunteers to help with our weekly adoption event, dog walking and dog transportation. We also need fosters for our dogs, so they don’t have to stay in a kennel until they’re adopted. We’re also looking for an experienced Grant Writer and a Videographer who can video and post our dogs on social media. And, of course, we're always looking for fresh fundraising ideas, too. Our volunteers are asked to attend an orientation on the west side of LA before they can volunteer with us. Orientations are held the second Saturday of each month from 12 to 4pm. Gamers Get COOKED (BBQ & Potluck)

Hello fellow gamers and culinary enthusiasts! Food is good. Home Cooked food is better. Sharing your favorite home cooked food with good people is how it’s done best! **Gamers Get Cooked** is a gathering of our community's most passionate chefs, bakers, and culinary experimenters! This is a potluck style event where the only admission fee is a home cooked contribution to the fun! Bust out your favorite handmade dish and we will do the same, then together we will feast and discuss our mutual appreciation for the craft. Yum! Don't Cook or bake? That's OK! We challenge you to bring food from your favorite **local** restaurant or bakery! Bonus points if no one has heard of it! Your host will be making BBQ chicken and Tofu! Guests are welcome to use any available grill to prepare their dish! **Whatever you cook or bring, make sure it's enough to share for 5-10 people. Also you MUST know the ingredients and have the name of your dish with the ingredients printed so that those with food allergies can be aware of what they are consuming. If you need to print here, we can accommodate.** In addition to the food various board games and card games will be available to play. Maybe even a movie! Portugal, Spain, and Andorra: The Portuguese and Spanish Way

As many of you know, my entire family is from Portugal and Spain. I wanted to create a Portugal and Spain trip like no other, where we’ll experience the real Iberian Peninsula. I personally designed this itinerary where we will go to the most amazing places in Portugal, Spain, and even the micro-country of Andorra, seeing not only the must-see places, but also the off-the-beaten-path, “real Portugal and Spain.” **HIGHLIGHTS** * Drive across the Iberian Peninsula: from the northeast to the southwest of Spain, and from the southeast to the northwest of Portugal, taking in **everything** along the way. * See not just two but three countries: Spain, Portugal, and Andorra! * Spend two days in [Andorra](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/2GKlp4GBtWs), *The Heart of the Pyrenees.* This European microstate (just 468 sq km, with a population smaller than Santa Monica!) is the only country located entirely in the gorgeous Pyrenees. Each of us contributes to the conversation about our goals and what workouts we can do to reach them, then we each choose a workout and practice them together! **NO - you do not need to be “in shape” to feel welcome here.** **YES - you can participate no matter what your goals may be.** Health is an undervalued foundation of our daily lives, and everyone deserves a chance to be supported at every stage of their journey! Portrait Sculpture

Students will learn to observe and record the human head in clay using sight sizing and comparative measuring techniques to build a head from profile to fully rendered face, neck and base. Techniques like the following will be applied: \- Learning how to draw in space \- take notes on the sculpture itself \- and get comfortable with the medium on a basic level in order to form a strong foundation from which to build upon\. This class will teach students how to quickly and efficiently construct a portrait bust in clay with the possibility of casting it in Plaster, Resin or even bronze for those willing. April 2026 - Playtest games at Geeky Teas!

**Players and game designers wanted for this open house style event!** Please read the event schedule, and all members, new and old, should check out the Code of Conduct at the bottom of this text. **FEE:** $8 to play at Geeky Teas - payable at the event to Geeky Teas at front desk. Once paid, you're covered to play games ALL DAY. **DESIGNER SIGN UP**: If you have a game to test during session one or two we have a new sign up protocol: **Fill out the form here- [First Play Designer Signup](https://gorgeous-mule-37d.notion.site/1c9a3d4ed35b8034b34ced27ef3d1c40)** Please read the descriptions of each time to determine if your game is appropriate for a scheduled session. *Note: new members must come to First Play as a playtester at least once before having the opportunity to run a game. If this is your first time showing your game at FPLA, please introduce yourself to either Damon or Cassandra (one or both will be near the front of the room) before your session for a quick explainer on how to get your game to the table and what to expect from playtesting.* **SCHEDULE:** Game days have 3 segments. **You do not need to come for the whole day!** However, it is good etiquette if you are testing your own game to stay and test at least one other designer's game as well. 11:00am - 1:00 pm **OPEN PLAY TESTING** This is unstructured play time, ideal for short games (45min or less), 2 player games, and games that require a quieter environment. If you're a designer, grab an available table and let people know you are looking for players. If you're a player, just sit down at a game and play! **SESSION ONE** 1:15pm - 3:15pm **SESSION TWO** 3:30pm - 5:30pm Scheduled sessions are the core of First Play! This event we have three scheduled sessions, with about 4-6 games running during each time slot. Following moderator announcements, each designer running a game will have the opportunity to do an 'elevator pitch' to players. After which, players decide which game they want to play. Two hour sessions are ideal for games that are 60-90 minutes, and have been playtested multiple times before. After play, be sure to leave time to give and receive feedback. Oh, and sometimes we give away prizes! 5:30-6:30pm **DINNER BREAK** 6:30-10pm **THE SKUNKWORKS** This is unstructured time to test your wildest ideas. Bring the game that may break in 5 minutes, the one that requires 10 people, or the one that may involve crawling on the ground. Bring objects that *could* be games, half baked ideas, and untested print and plays. Be respectful of other community members- give as much as you receive. Playtest other peoples' games, not just your own. 8. In the case of an unresolvable or continuing conflict, please let a moderator know so we can determine next steps. 9. You will receive a warning if a legitimate complaint is lodged against you.
