Early bird ride: S Ostkreuz → S Lichtenrade along the Berlin Wall Trail. Start your Sunday with a morning ride along the historic Mauerweg. We'll cycle from Ostkreuz south to Lichtenrade, following the path where the Berlin Wall once stood. Any bike type works. No special experience needed — you just should be comfortable riding 40 km at your own pace. * Start: S-Bahn Ostkreuz * End: S-Bahn Lichtenrade * Distance: \~37 km * Terrain: Flat, mostly paved bike paths * Pace: The one you're comfortable with — we're here to enjoy beautiful start to the day. We keep moving but it's not a race * Recommended to bring: water, a snack, and sunscreen * Equipment: Up to you but you're responsible for your own safety. We'll stop for coffee/breakfast along the way (pay your own). See you bright and early! 🚲

Cycle & dine - Harvest festival in Kuhhorst

Cycle & dine - Harvest festival in Kuhhorst

From Berlin Cycling

========== FACTS ========== ROUTE: Paulinenaue > Kuhhorst > Nauen LEVEL: Easy peasy DISTANCE: 38ish kms MEETING POINT: 08:50 - Berlin Südkreuz ========== FACTS ========== ========= DETAILS ========= **ROUTE:** Autumn is knocking on the door and harvesting is more or less done. So this is the time to thank whomever is responsible for the crop by celebrating Harvest festivals. This time we visit [Kuhhorst](https://diekuhhorster.de/erntedankfest/), an inclusive Farm north east of Berlin. Some of you may know them from their organic products which are sold in Berlin as well. Starting in Paulinenaue we will also pass a very lovely former railroad embankment with (hopefully) very colorful trees around. Arrived in Kuhhorst after about 20km we enjoy the animals (alive and on the plate) and all the activities offered there ([see website](https://diekuhhorster.de/erntedankfest/)). To avoid cycling in too much darkness we head back the remaining 15km at around 16:30 at a relaxed speed. **SPEED:** Leisurely around 16km/h, at least if the wind doesn't come from the front. This is like "Being able to see the details on the side of the road and enjoying the view in general… and have a chat." **DISTANCE AND TERRAIN:** This is an about 38ish km ride, with mainly mixed but also some solid or soft ground. In general: Bikes with thin tyres (Race bikes, Road bikes, Fixies), rented bikes (Uber, Swapfiets) or any special bikes (Folding bikes, BMX etc.) are not suitable! You won't have fun, trust me! And if you want to bring Kids or Animals please get in touch before! **MEETING POINT:** 08:50 - Berlin Südkreuz, at the ticket machine right after the NORTHERN moving staircase (facing the TV-Tower. I have a blue Villiger Trekking bike. But you can hop in at any other station if you want (and dare). **TICKET:** It is 6,30 way out / person and the same way back, so it doesn't make much sense to organise a BBT. The Deutschlandticket is valid. And don't forget your "[24-hour bicycle VBB network](https://www.vbb.de/en/tickets/tickets-for-your-bicycle/24-hour-ticket-bicycle/)"-ticket which is about 7,50 EUR. **WAY OUT:** 09:06 - dep. Berlin Südkreuz, RE8 from platform 8, 10:08 - arr. Paulinenaue **WAY BACK:** 17:59 - dep. Nauen, taking RE8 18:51 - arr. Südkreuz **RECOMMENDATIONS:** Check the train schedule in the morning! The DB loves to stir up the plans by changing trains on short notice! If anything happens the Meeting point is the starting point of the cycling. While we'll stop somewhere for a lunch and/or coffee please always bring your snacks but especially some drinks along! And, PLEASE make sure your bike is in a proper state! Check your tyre pressure and oil the chain! Does your light work? Having a toolset is highly recommended and a spare inner tube to fix a flat tyre a big plus! While we might be able to help in some circumstances please think about what happens if we can't! Thank you! Bringing special equipment (Helmet, safety vest etc.) is NOT required but welcome if you feel more safe using it. ========= DETAILS =========

Ultimate Frisbee in the Park - summer edition

Ultimate Frisbee in the Park - summer edition

Hi everyone. We'll meet and play a relaxed game of ultimate in Volkspark Rehberge if the weather cooperates. Our games focus on having great team play, where the teams work together to advance the disk down the field. It's more important to work well together as a team than have a few star players get a point with lucky shots. For this reason, players of all skill levels (especially those who have never played) are welcome to join Bring plenty of water, shoes you can run in and comfortable clothing that can get a bit dirty. Although we're an established group, newcomers are always welcome. After the game we try to spend some time together and have fun. Finding us: We meet in this big grassy area, it's a short bike ride from the subway stop Rehberge on the U6 or Amrumer Strasse on the U9. It can be a bit tricky to find the first time, so we've got a few methods to help out (don't trust the meetup map pin, it often shows some point in the park, not the exact spot where we are) 1. GPS: 52°32'54.9"N 13°19'51.0"E ; 52.548581, 13.330842 2. Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/xbZgaXzMSMt 3. the helpful picture here https://secure.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/2/8/8/f/highres_451930383.jpeg *This event may also be photographed and/or video-recorded, and published on social media channels such as meetup and eventbrite.* *By participating, you acknowledge and accept the risk of injury while playing Ultimate. Although adherence to the rules, proper equipment, and common sense reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and, you willingly and freely assume all such risks.*

From Urban Sports Cult
4.8

Have you always wanted to learn bouldering but never had the right company? Or are you an experienced boulderer who just wants to find boulder-buddies? If yes, this is the right event for you. We are going to meet inside "urban apes Basement Boulderstudio", close to S Anhalter Bahnhof, also not far from Potsdamer Platz. If you have never been there, you will need to sign up with them, which will take a bit of time. After that, **you can find us on the couches near the lockers (not in front of the reception), next to a red smiley**. When you enter the actual gym, enter the hall by turning left immediately - you are walking towards them. We will start warming up around 11:10, so everyone has enough time to arrive and get changed before that. ***\*\*\**** *Spots are limited, so please update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance if you won't be joining. **NO-SHOWs ARE NOT COOL \*\*\**** We enter the gym at 11:00, if you are late, you will need to look for us inside. IMPORTANT: they only accept cards as a payment method. No cash. One day ticket will cost you 13,90 EUR (10,90 EUR if you are a student, free if Urban Sports Club). **What to bring: well, first of all, a good mood.** But you could also bring * climbing shoes if you have any. If not, you can rent them there, no worries. They cost 3,50 EUR. * a lock (for the locker). * chalk. You won't need that if you are a beginner. Renting is possible. * water. * extra clothes. It's quite chalky there and humans sweat, not the best mix, don't you think? :D Please, note: the organizer is not responsible for anything, including injuries. A basic introduction will be provided.
