And while 15,000 or 20,000 steps would be great, they also require more time. So to make it fun and manageable, we’re starting with 10k steps as a challenge—and we may increase the goal in future events. **THE IMPORTANT POINTS ARE THESE;** Space is limited, so **please RSVP only if you’re 100% sure you’ll attend.** 🙏🏾If you RSVP and don’t show, you will be 🚩Red Flagged 🚩for future events—we all appreciate reliability and respect for others' abilities to get a spot to walk!🙏🏾 Expect to hit somewhere between **10,000–12,000 steps (approximately 7.5-9 miles),** depending on the pace and group. This **midweek walking event** is going really well. Yes, Lacy Park allows dogs. However, they must be on a leash and it will be your own responsibility. No running involved. Just a casual, social walk. Please avoid parking inside the park lot, as the gates may close before we finish our walk.** **Park closes at dusk so I strongly advise against parking inside any of the lots. Best Saturday Pickup Smaller Turf Field Playa Vista Goalies/Big Goals

The BEST pickup soccer games around every Saturday 1st Timer discount & package deals. Fees go to covering the rental cost of reserving the field. I also have expenses for meetup, balls, an extra shirt/bibs. Once we have covered the field rental fees, we will be maxed out and only players with credits can play or others for free Great, fun games but No Slide Tackles, Rough Play or arguing allowed. This will not be tolerated. The game is Co-Ed and the level is intermediate to advanced. Make sure to send your donation fee as I do NOT hold rspvs without payment. I need 24 hrs notice in advance if you cannot make it to get a credit. Please ensure you are feeling ok and are not sick or have any symptoms. Game to start about 20-30 min after warmup time. New Turf Field with Big Goals & Goalies. We sometimes play with 2 subs and everyone rotates in goal unless we get regular goalies.

Summer Splash - Malibu Creek State Park (bring an inner tube)

**Bring a flotation device** Alright meetup people, summer is around the corner so let’s take a dip at the rock pools located at the Malibu Creek State Park. I know summer is not until June 21st, but this is the best title I could come up with for this event. Bring a flotation device like an inner tube, and I will bring a portable pump. We will do a short hike to the rock pools, and then get in the water. In honor of the Olympics 2028, we might even have people race in their inner tubes for the ultimate bragging rights. Also, no dogs allowed at this state park. So sign up for this event, because this will be more exciting than riding the tractor around the farm. Join me for a relaxed Sunday as we get together for a late afternoon coffee and stroll. We’ll **start by meeting at Superba** for coffee and light mingling. From there, we’ll head out for a group coffee walk through Pasadena, taking in scenic routes and charming neighborhoods along with visiting the Caltech campus together as a Meetup community. There’s no better way to stay connected with friends and new acquaintances than through a fun, low-pressure activity like this. {USC} Square Dance with a LIVE BAND!

Let's go square dancing Downtown near USC! ($20) The 16th ever Los Angeles Old Time Social is happening on May 16th. There are beginner-friendly workshops throughout the day and musicians and folk enthusiasts from up and down the west coast come into town that weekend. Some of them will be putting on a square dance from 7:30-10pm, which is what we'll be attending. Different musicians and callers will be rotating in throughout the night, and we'll keep dancing. Never square danced? Don't worry... all dances are taught. Fun guaranteed! No partner necessary, this is social dancing :) Everyone willing to participate is welcome! Bring your friends -- the more the square-ier! Straight and LGBTQIA+ friendly. We'll meet up there at 7:30pm to watch (and eat) musical cakes before the dancing gets underway. SCHEDULE: 6-7ish - doors 7:00pm - flatfooting workshop (included with evening program admission, if you're interested) 7:30pm - musical cakes + group meet + socializing + beginner-friendly dancing out back (outside) DIRECTIONS: Punch "Velaslavasay Panorama" into maps and it should get there easy. 1122 W 24th St, Los Angeles, CA 90007 PARKING: Street parking. Double-check posted signs. MEETING UP: We'll meet up by the cakes around 7:30pm.
