Blood on the Clocktower at Manifesto! (beginner/intermediate)

Hi folks, this is the meetup group for the weekly Sunday Blood on the Clocktower games in Manifesto at Potsdamer Platz. We run beginner-friendly and intermediate-level games throughout the afternoon and evening. **Friendly newcomers of all skill levels are welcome, no experience required!** Our group aims to provide a fun and welcoming space to experience this thrilling game of social deception. **We focus on promoting a positive and fun group atmosphere, where players don’t take themselves or the game too seriously, whether they’re heroically winning or spectacularly losing.** Our players follow the code of conduct for the Berlin Board Gamers group and are expected to treat each other with respect and consideration – “killing with grace, and dying with dignity”. We are usually able to offer two simultaneous games on Sundays. If you are marked as "attending" in Meetup and are in your seat at 15:00, your place is guaranteed for as long as you want to stay. All other seats are first come, first served. We always run at least one beginner-friendly game of the basic version of Clocktower ("Trouble Brewing") throughout the afternoon and evening. We also usually have enough players for a second intermediate-level game. If you are already very familiar with Clocktower, consider also joining our Tuesday meetup for advanced players, when we play with complex custom scripts and characters. Blood on the Clocktower is a deep, mechanical game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception… think Werewolf on steroids. Each player receives a unique secret role and plays either for the good team – the uninformed majority, gathering info and working with others to solve the puzzle – or the evil team, the informed minority, scheming to eliminate good players and protect their demon from execution. In our beginner games no prior experience is expected and we will gladly explain the game rules to any newcomers. We play in English so players should be able to understand and express themselves in English: an exception is possible for one pair of players willing to play together (as a “Revolutionary” pair) where one player can interpret into and out of English. Please let us know in advance if this is the case. The Body Under the Microscope** ***Art & Science Workshop*** Join us for a new workshop that brings art and science together, co-led by Cristina Brischetto, Molecular Biologist and of course, Lu. Together, they will guide you into the fascinating world of blood—exploring its vital role in the body and its hidden beauty under the microscope. This workshop is divided into two parts. In the first part, Cristina will introduce the science of blood in a short, engaging, and accessible way, sharing how blood cells function, travel, and work tirelessly to keep us alive. In the second part, Lu will guide participants through watercolour techniques with live demonstrations, focusing on fluidity, movement, and organic forms. **Inspired by microscopic images, participants will learn about biology while painting their own artistic interpretation of blood cells, linking artistic expression with scientific imagery.** No prior artistic experience is required—just curiosity and an open mind. **New to the game? Please join our beginner-friendly Sunday event instead!** Hi folks, this is a special meetup group for the regular Blood on the Clocktower games every Tuesday in Berlin Mitte. This event is aimed at players who are already very familiar with Clocktower - if you have dozens of games under your belt and are excited to play custom scripts with other seasoned players, this is the event for you! Our group aims to provide a fun and welcoming space to experience this thrilling game of social deception. **We focus on promoting a positive and fun group atmosphere, where players don’t take themselves or the game too seriously, whether they’re heroically winning or spectacularly losing.** Our players follow the code of conduct for the Berlin Board Gamers group and are expected to treat each other with respect and consideration – “killing with grace, and dying with dignity”. We'll cover how we approached platform building as gardeners rather than architects: observing what already works, replicating it, and letting rituals emerge before encoding them. We'll look at some mistakes we made along the way and what we learned from each. *Dayana Mick* **It works… but no one understands it: The hidden problem in DevOps** For several years, I kept asking the same question to senior developers, staff engineers, and mentors: “What is a build?” I rarely got a clear answer. Not because people didn’t know, but because the mental model had faded somewhere between Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and “just run this command.” At some point, I realized I could run pipelines, deploy services, and fix things just enough to move forward, but explaining what was actually happening was much harder. And I was not the only one. This talk is about a pattern I’ve seen across every company I’ve worked at. Systems that work, but are not really understood. Teams running platform commands from memory. Platform teams becoming bottlenecks. Incidents where even experienced engineers hesitate. And situations where people rely on tools without a clear sense of what is actually happening underneath. With AI, this is only accelerating. This is a talk for anyone who has ever copy-pasted a command, watched it work, and decided not to ask further questions. It is especially relevant for junior and mid-level engineers navigating DevOps complexity, and for teams who are trying to scale tooling without losing shared understanding.

Diese Erfahrung wird Ihnen nicht nur helfen, sich in der we.are.village-Community zurechtzufinden, sondern sie wird Sie auch dazu befähigen, diese Werte in Ihr Leben zu übertragen. Being aware of your boundaries and expressing your consent or non-consent are essential skills in life, but we don’t often get a chance to actually practice consent skills in the same way we practice other skills, like singing, playing sports or learning a language. Consent is about much more than a simple yes or no. When we deconstruct consent, we discover how to communicate our true desires and stop choosing the things we actually don’t want. Through discussion, movement and partner games, we will build tools to express and negotiate physical desires and set boundaries through the use of practical exercises. This workshop is inclusive and welcoming to individuals of all body sizes, genders, and background. This is a non-sexual workshop, and great, low pressure situation in which to practice communication and touching. It’s as much about how to truly say yes and mean it as it is about saying no!
