TGSF gets together in person, at least once a month, generally on the last Thursday of the month. This is our **HALLOWEEN** meeting. Feel free to wear anything that makes you feel good (please be sure it's legal :) This is our monthly **in person** event! When we get together, feel free to continue to wear masks, and if that’s part of the rules at the time, then we’ll all wear them! **Our "NEW VENUE"!** We will meet at **Taqueria San Jose,** which is the name of our old venue, but they moved across the street! So, same time, same name, but now at 2839 Mission St, across Mission Street, from Taqueria Los Altos. - Sorry for any confusion. It's good to buy food here to support them, but **food is optional**. **House of Prime Rib** House of Prime Rib opened in 1949 with one mission, one purpose, to serve the best *English style Prime Rib* meal *anywhere*, but only in one place, under one roof, to use a phrase kindly, *Only In San Francisco*. Known for their 21-day aging process, their magnificent service and attention to detail that shows in the perfection of their sides (Long time attendee *Ruth* swears by their *Yorkshire Pudding* and *Pauline* has a *secret menu* item order which is amazing), desserts and every beverage option. *The House of Prime Rib's* wine list is a great tour of classics from local wineries and iconic European vines that could be older than our country. Though they have changed some over these past years, they are what they have always been a destination for *San Franciscans.* I hold this establishment as the best steak in San Francisco, *I would eat here every night if I could*. I am a Chicagoan, but I have never tried this Chicago pizza. Let’s go see what all the fuzz is about. Note that there are multiple Zachary’s locations. The event is at the 5801 College Avenue, Oakland location, near the Rockridge BART station. This location offers thick and thin crust pizza, and with a big enough group, we can sample one of each. Zachary’s describes its two styles this way: * Stuffed: We literally “stuff” each pizza with the highest quality cheese and toppings that you choose. The stuffed pizza “pie” is then covered with our zesty diced tomato sauce and baked until the buttery crust is golden brown. * Thin: Our buttery crust is rolled to a moderate thickness and dusted with cornmeal.
