Book talk: Radical Justice – Building the World We Need

In a world where fascists are winning elections, economic inequality is rampant, and the climate crisis is at its tipping point, it can feel like the amount of work needed to overcome these injustices is too much to handle. But what if there is a way to lower the threshold to action? Who will free us if not ourselves? In her new book Radical Justice, international human rights lawyer Nani Jansen Reventlow offers a powerful and practical guide for strengthening the movement for freedom and equality for all. Drawing on decades of legal and activist work, she shows how each of us—within our own spheres of influence—can take meaningful action toward systemic change. Inspired by anti-racist and social justice thinkers such as Olúfẹ́mi O. Táíwò and Angela Davis, Radical Justice moves beyond despair and into action. The book explores concrete pathways including strategic litigation, digital rights, reparations, and climate justice, while inviting readers to learn, reflect, and act in a society that often tells us change is impossible. Brandee Butler, CEO of the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) and a long-time strategist working at the intersection of human rights, philanthropy, and responsible business, will host Jansen Reventlow in conversation. Butler** is a lawyer, human rights advocate, and philanthropic strategist with more than two decades of experience working at the intersection of civil society, philanthropy, and the private sector to advance justice and accountability. Her work focuses on strengthening social movements, mobilizing philanthropic capital, and engaging businesses and public institutions in efforts to build more equitable and sustainable economic systems.

On the occasion of International Menstrual Health Day, we invite you to gather for an intimate and open conversation around menstrual health, body literacy, wellbeing and menstrual dignity. This encounter marks the beginning of La Casa Roja, a project that creates spaces for embodied wellbeing, yoga, education, dialogue, and community and planetary care through a feminist and holistic approach to women’s health. Menstrual health continues to be surrounded by silence, stigma and misinformation. Yet talking about our cycles also means talking about health, rights, emotions, work, relationships, rest and the ways we inhabit our bodies. This gathering is an invitation to reconnect with the body as a source of knowledge, intuition and collective wisdom. A morning to get your hands dirty, to help look after Las Acacias (https://lasacaciaspermacultura.com/), a permacultral educational project within a little forest and share some laughter and chats with friends who come on the day. El estado de los caballos, su comportamiento y su condición física son aspectos que siempre pueden observarse directamente en el propio centro. Feeling down about the state of the world today? Concerned about the worsening climate crisis, which seems to receive little political attention? We invite you to join us for a screening of the first episode of the six-part series [Hope! Estamos a tiempo ](https://www.rtve.es/play/videos/hope-estamos-a-tiempo/)(Hope! We Are Still in Time), released by RTVE, Spain’s national public broadcaster. Presented by environmental communicator Javier Peña, the series travels across 17 countries to highlight real, science-based solutions to the climate crisis—offering a more hopeful and action-oriented perspective on our future. It focuses on what is already working, showing that meaningful change is not only possible but already underway. **The series are in Spanish with some parts narrated in English.** The series is available to everyone, but the real value lies in experiencing it together. We aim to create a space where we can gather, reflect on what we see and feel, and consider what we can take into our daily lives.
