Coffee Connections

Fri, Aug 7, 9:00 AM
From Backstory English Bookshop - Events
4.7

A casual (but coordinated) coffee break to meet new friends, take a Zoom break, and get your AM caffeine fix. Stop by for a few minutes or stay the whole time. Bring a friend or wander in solo. Come for the coffee and company, or just bring a book to read while surrounded by other in-real-life, community-seeking humans. Come by every Friday, or just when you happen to be in town. Make it whatever you need it to be that week. It's not an \*event\* per se, but we hope these Friday meet-ups can become a fixture of the bookshop! Gathering spot will be in the downstairs area of the bookshop (near the Community Library). Coffee and tea are 1.50€ and can be purchased at the cash register upstairs. Find more info on our Instagram (@backstorybookshop) or website (www.backstorybookshop.com).

Cozy Club: Create & Connect Corner

Cozy Club: Create & Connect Corner

Sat, Aug 8, 2:00 PM
From Cozy Club Barcelona

**Cozy Club: Create & Connect Corner** Come spend a slow, screen-free afternoon with us in a reserved cozy corner of **Bar But**, a lovely little local spot in Gràcia. This is our very first gathering — a bit of quiet creativity followed by warm, meaningful conversation, all in good company. Here's how the afternoon flows: **🤍 Settle in (first 15 min)** We'll meet and greet, order our drinks, pop on our name badges, and get comfy. Just look for the **"Cozy Club"** sign — that's us. **✍️ Quiet solo activity time (45 min)** We'll spend this stretch doing offline activities *separately but together* — in companionable silence. Bring whatever brings you joy and can be done quietly at a table: journaling or writing, reading, drawing, painting, coloring, knitting, crafting, meditating… anything goes. The only goal is to unplug from screens and reconnect with yourself, however feels good to you. **💬 Social connection time (last hour)** Then we'll come together to talk. We'll draw table-topic cards at random and take turns answering — gentle prompts designed to move us past small talk and into the kind of conversation that actually connects us. **🎒 What to bring:** Pack whatever you need for your quiet-time activity — a notebook and pen, a book, your sketchpad, coloring supplies, knitting or a craft project, or anything else that helps you unwind. **A few cozy details:** * **Drinks & snacks:** Please plan to buy at least one drink or snack from the bar — it's how we say thank you to Bar But for hosting us. They've got the usual beer and wine, plus really good coffee, a nice tea selection, and tasty snacks. *Note: the kitchen will be closed, so have lunch before you come!* * **Group size:** We're keeping it intimate — up to 10 people max. * **The vibe:** Come with kindness, curiosity, and an openness to connection, and we'll keep the cozy vibes going together. 💛 **📝 Please keep your RSVP up to date! Spots are limited, so if you find you can no longer make it, update your RSVP as soon as you can so someone else has the chance to join. Thank you for being considerate.** **♿ Accessibility note:** Unfortunately, this particular space isn't wheelchair accessible — there are two stairs down once you're inside. If you're a wheelchair user and would like to join us, please send me a message, and I'll look into other location options. You're very welcome with us.
