**Would you like to learn badminton and finally hit the shuttle properly?** Our beginner training is exactly what you’re looking for! In small groups of up to 4 people, you will learn the basics step by step: * proper footwork * your first shots to simple game situations * how to serve properly * the game rules * and much, much more! **The fee for this training is 16€ and includes the trainer, the shuttles and the court booking for one hour.** Here are the steps to participate in the training: 1. register in the event (here) 2. pay in advance the registration fee **by Friday evening before the training using this link**: https://pay.sumup.com/b2c/Q2PKK0L1 We cannot cancel the course in the last 24 hours, so we have to pay the instructor and the courts even if you don't come. If by Friday end of day you are still registered in the event, you acknowledge that you will pay the participaton fee. *Recommendation:* Since you learn and build knowledge together as a group, **attending at least 4 consecutive sessions is ideal**. This way, you can grow as a team, benefit from each other, and make faster progress. **Who is this training for?** Anyone with little or no prior experience, but a willingness to learn how to properly play badminton! The training is done in both German and English. Come a bit earlier so you have time to change into workout/sports clothes. The locker rooms are free to use, but for the men lockers you need a padlock - or you can also take your bag of clothes upstairs to the courts if you do not have a padlock. Also, please bring: * clean indoor sports shoes (no black soles) * your racket or you can rent one from the club, if necessary (4€) * and a water bottle **After the training**, we are hosting our weekly Badminton Sunday event. You can use the opportunity to train and practice the skills you learned (separate event registration required in advance!). If you are joining our events for the first time, WELCOME! You can join from Budapest, Vienna or from the start of the route. Mindfulness is the ability to be present in the moment and experience life more fully. It makes life richer, brighter, and filled with simple pleasures. In everyday life, we constantly switch between our phones, work, and thoughts about the future. On this hike, we'll try spending the day differently: without phones, without rushing, and without unnecessary noise. We'll pay more attention to the nature around us, our own feelings, and simply give our minds a chance to rest. Please join us the 3rd Wednesday of each month to learn more about the Columbus Ski Club and what we have to offer. Pizza, wings and a variety of appetizers provided. We are a non-profit organization founded in 1958 with over 800 members. The club has grown beyond the single mission of providing members with not only quality skiing events but also year round social and sport activities. Our gatherings are an opportunity for members and non-members to interact and learn about the many activities offered such as euchre, billiards, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, bowling, golf & softball leagues along with ski and non-ski trips. Our members also plan group activities such as visits to wine tastings, bike trips, comedy clubs, concerts, plays and local sports games, etc. CSC membership is not required to belong to the Meetup group. Membership is required in order to participate in most club activities (CSC member). However, anyone (21 and over) is welcome at our meeting gatherings which consist of checking out our current activities and socializing. Short North Street Skates return Saturday, April 4 and we’re excited to get back rolling together. These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus. Details: Meet: 1160 N High St 9:30 AM meet 10:00 AM rollout All wheels welcome We’ll be skating through the Short North and surrounding areas at a steady, social pace. Routes will use a mix of streets and bike lanes, so comfort navigating the city is helpful, but you don’t need to be an expert. If you’ve been meaning to come out, this is a great place to start.
