Travel Now - London Chapter - Travel For Free*
## ๐ **Travel Now โ London Chapter**
Welcome to the London Chapter of **London Travel Now** ๐
This is a relaxed, community-powered **travel social meetup** for people who enjoy exploring, planning trips, sharing tips, and meeting fellow travelersโboth online and in real life.
London Travel Now is a **multi-city travel social community**. While we host in-person meetups like this one, most connections start and continue on our online platform:
๐[ ](londontravelnow.com)**[londontravelnow.com](londontravelnow.com)**
Thatโs where members chat, share ideas, plan trips together, and stay connected between meetups.
***
โ๏ธ *Travel for Free (yes, really)*\*
We get asked this a lot, so hereโs the simple version:
\*\*Trip organizers travel free on the trips they create and run.\*\`
If you:
* Plan the trip
* Handle the bookings
* Bring the group together
your spot on the trip is covered.
\*Free applies to the trip organizer once the trip reaches minimum participants and is confirmed. Everyone else pays their own share.
No travel industry experience requiredโjust organization, reliability, and enthusiasm.
***
โ **Where we meet**
Meetups are kept simple and accessibleโcentral cafรฉs, pubs, or casual venues around London.
Thereโs no formal agenda and no presentations.
Just show up, grab a drink, and chat.
(Exact venue details are always listed on the event page.)
***
๐งญ **How this meetup works (important)**
This chapter is part of a **community-led social network**.
* Meetups are informal and community-powered
* The main London Travel Now organizer may not attend every event
* Attendees cover their own food and drinks
* There may or may not be a designated host at each meetup
Think of this as a casual, drop-in **travel social**, not a guided or hosted event.
If youโre comfortable introducing yourself, joining conversations, and helping create a friendly atmosphere, youโll fit right in.
***
๐ฌ **WhatsApp community (recommended)**
We also have a shared **London Travel Now WhatsApp community** with spaces for different cities.
๐ Join here:
[https://chat.whatsapp.com/GjmFuzbk0baFavZRN0JGTz](https://chat.whatsapp.com/GjmFuzbk0baFavZRN0JGTz)
Inside the London space, members:
* Coordinate meetups
* Ask questions
* Share travel ideas and trip plans
* Stay connected between events
Joining is optional, but itโs the easiest way to stay in the loop.
***
๐๏ธ **What to expect**
* Friendly, informal travel conversations
* Trip ideas, tips, and shared experiences
* Meeting people you may want to travel with in the future
* A low-pressure, welcoming environment
This is a **community meetup**, not a tour, class, or sales event.
***
๐ **Weโre looking for Chapter Organizers**
As London Travel Now grows, weโre looking for local **Chapter Organizers**, including here in London.
Chapter Organizers help:
* Host or co-host meetups (weekly or monthly)
* Choose simple, accessible venues
* Welcome attendees and help spark conversation
* Create and organize trips for the community
Trip organizers travel free on the trips they run.\*
No prior experience neededโjust reliability and a friendly attitude.
๐ Learn more or apply here:
**[www.londontravelnow.com/apply](londontravelnow.com/apply)**
***
โจ **Come along**
New faces are always welcome.
Bring curiosity, a travel story, or just yourself.
This community works best when members help make it welcomingโwe hope youโll be part of it.

Weโre off to Norfolk! The seals in Norfolk are truly one of Britain's most special sights. Without any doubt, they're an incredible WOW factor and one that you must see!
On this day hike, we'll walk along the top of the sand dunes and enjoy stunning panoramic views across the North Sea. On our way, we'll pass the much-loved grey seal colony at Horsey Beach, which draws thousands of visitors each year, **particularly between November and March**, when the seals come ashore to breed. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of seals and their pups stretching for as far as the eye can see!
The whole walk is in the Broads National Park โ one of fifteen national parks in the UK. You'll discover its iconic windmills, navigable waterways and broads (man-made, shallow lakes). With over 125 miles of lock-free waterways, the Norfolk Broads have more miles of waterway than Venice or Amsterdam, and are an extremely popular boating holiday destination! **HIKE HIGHLIGHTS**
* Watch seals and their young from a close distance at Horsey Gap, home to one of the biggest colonies of grey seals in Britain.
* Take a gentle stroll over the vast open expanse of the golden sand dunes of Winterton Beach โ a Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest. The area is a veritable haven for birds and all kinds of wildlife and is widely regarded as having the best sand dunes in Norfolk.
* See the spectacular Horsey Windpump โ the youngest and largest windpump in the Norfolk Broads. It was built in 1912 to pump water out from the surrounding land so that it could be used for farming.
* Discover Horsey Mere, often regarded as one of the most beautiful of the northern broads and famous for its internationally important wildlife.
* Walk the newly opened stretch of the England Coast Path โ a new National Trail around all of England's coast, which once completed will be the longest coastal walking route in the world (4,500 kilometres in length!).

**About Just Gutsy**
**Just Gutsy** is a global community for solo travelers who are free spirited, love exploring the world believe that real connections make the best memories.
Hi, I am Syrine,
I started solo traveling in 2018 and it changed my life, from introvert to extrovert. Along the way, I loved meeting people, but also felt how hard it can be to find connection when traveling alone.
Iโm building Just Gutsy so no one has to feel alone on the road โ and so anyone whoโs still shy to take that first step has a welcoming place to start. ๐

Meet us at the Brazilian Grill & Bakery!
Inspired by the successful events like "Pot Luck in the Park" and "Saturday Mornings @ East Market," this meetup promises a fun and engaging atmosphere where like-minded individuals can connect over a shared love for languages and cultures. Whether you're a language learner, ESL student, or simply passionate about exploring new cultures, this event is perfect for anyone looking to immerse themselves in a diverse and welcoming community. Come join us for an enlightening afternoon of language, culture, food, of course, and connections!
(Everyone will individually choose from the buffet and pay for their own meal, by weight.)
Saturday Mornings @ East Market
Let's grab some coffee/food and share a morning chat! The East Market has an ample parking lot and outdoor and indoor seating.
Grab a cup of coffee from Winston's Coffee & Waffles or on your way to East Market and meet us on the second floor - table behind or east of the elevator. If the weather cooperates we will be meeting in the patio.
Per what this group is about: "Everyone is welcome! International transplants to Columbus who want to improve language skills, Columbus residents who want to discuss international travel and culture, and anyone who enjoys getting together for good conversations."
