Come and play 2 hours of intermediate level badminton with us at the fantastic sports hall at Ark Walworth Academy in Southwark (SE1), playing with Yonex 600 plastic fast shuttlecocks on 4 badminton courts and normally around 20 players. It's in between Bermondsey, Elephant & Castle, Borough, Kennington, Peckham Rye stations.

Directed at those people who have completed one of our longer woodwork courses, or those with confident woodwork skills, we offer an eleven-day week opportunity to build an individual project.
During this course, run by experienced carpenter/joiner/furniture maker Ruth Thomson, you will learn how to manage a practical project from sketching it, making a technical drawing, writing a cutting list, costing, marking out and construction to produce a piece of wood furniture.
The group will visit a timber yard to learn how to select lengths of soft woods.
You will learn the safe use and versatility of a router, a biscuit jointer, a jigsaw and other power tools as needed and learn when and how to make jigs to help fabricate accurate shapes. Using basic workshop machines including a bandsaw and a belt sander, as well as classic hand tools, you will cut and assemble and then learn how to sand, glue and finish your project to completion.
We are happy to discuss your personal project if you already have something in mind. There is a size limitation due to time constraints and project storage. Call Alison on 0207 7607613 or send a photo or sketch to info@thegoodlifecentre.co.uk
Each learner will pay for their own materials. We can take delivery of timber if externally sourced. Please note that we cannot handle MDF in the workshop as the dust requires special extraction and respiratory equipment. Plywood or solid timber will be pre-machined for you on our planer thicknesser and table saw.

**🚀 WHAT HAPPENS AT OUR MEETUPS? 🚀**
Your friendly game leader will explain the rules and then we'll play a few rounds (about 20-30mins each) with some social time in-between to laugh about who got infected and how! At the end of the meetup we usually hang out until the owls are hooting
**⚡ HOW DOES THE GAME WORK? ⚡**
This game uses the free PlayCulture App ([playculture.com/app](https://www.playculture.com/app)). Players divide into **Survivors** and **Zombies**. Survivors try to evade the Zombies (using the danger compass to see where they are), and can pick up health packs to stay alive for longer. If a Zombie gets too close they can infect you! If you get infected you become a Zombie and join the hunt! At the end you will see a leaderboard showing everyone’s scores. A Sunday wander from the Thames, through woods, to stunning views from the Downs
Join us on a scenic walk connecting the Thames Path with the North Downs Way. Meandering through tranquil riverside paths, leafy lanes, and open countryside, this trail offers a refreshing escape into nature. We’ll enjoy peaceful landscapes, charming green spaces, and glimpses of local history, before finishing our journey with a well-earned drink in a welcoming country pub.
If you are not a regular walker, do join us - there will be an option to leave the hike early and take the train, if you are tired.

Badminton games on Wed 7pm for beginners & improvers in Pimlico, London SW1
Gain practical playing experience at the beginners/improvers games sessions on Wednesdays 7pm at the fantastic sports hall at Pimlico Academy in central London.
These badminton games sessions are for beginners and improvers who want to play fun and friendly games with other players of a similar ability.

Not sure you'll keep up? GoodGym is for everyone (18+). Whether you've never run before, or are chasing a marathon PB, you are 100% welcome. We always have a back-marker so no one gets left behind.
70% of GoodGym members start as non-runners so if you're new to this kind of thing you will be supported by people who are all on the same journey. 👍
What do I need to wear? Most of us wear gym/running gear. Make sure you're prepared for the weather.
Don't feel like you're fit enough? Our tasks are simple and fun. There are easy jobs as well as more challenging things for those who want a workout! The choice is always yours.
Do I need to bring anything? Gardening gloves are really useful for a lot of GoodGym tasks. And a head torch too if it’s likely to get dark. Please bring some if you can but there’s no requirement 🧤💡🧤
What is GoodGym? We're a (really lovely) group of people who use our energy to make a difference in our local community (and in communities across the UK!). Barre workout, Pilates, Stretching & Body Conditioning - a perfect combination to create the best body, posture & confidence!
A unique combination of ballet exercises, Pilates, stretching and motivational techniques. It’s a high energy class targeted at developing a great posture, sculpting a dancer like waistline, bottom and shaping slim legs. The exercise program is based on building deep, lean and flexible muscle strength, helping to overcome any joint pains, including knee, shoulder or back, as well as creating a great physique. For those that already have some knowledge of ballet, or dance and classes which require coordination.
To teach at out event we are inviting a former international ballet pro to show the elements of Ballet, Pilates, Stretching, to develop a core strength, flexibility and a great posture, as well as mentally linking muscle memory, so the gains on posture are immediate and easily remembered.
You will need to bring a smile, some water and wear comfortable exercise cloths. The class will be 60 minutes which should be more than enough to get those muscles worked & conditioned.
The fee for the event : £28.-

Hike Pickerington Ponds
We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can!
As always optional lunch after.

Hike Blacklick Woods and The Canopy. Optional lunch after.
Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in!
We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind.
If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward.
