Hi everyone! One of my biggest passions in life is art and its history. I love sharing my own artistic knowledge as well as learning new perspectives of it from fellow art lovers. I would like to try to execute a small art crawl on Saturday. There are a sprinkling of art galleries in Jersey City we can go to that are normally open from 11 am to 6 pm. It is totally up to you if you want to just visit one gallery or a few of them! Here are the galleries I found that are walking distance: Novado Gallery - 110 Morgan St Deep Space Gallery-77 Cornelison Ave Village West Gallery-331 Newark Ave If you’re up for it, there is one a bit further out in Journal Square, SMUSH Gallery- 340 Summit Ave Of course, we can also pop into a coffee shop or bar for refreshments. Grab your pad and drawing tools and escape the world for a couple of hours with your friends at The Old Stone House Park! Draw the human figure! Join us for a 2 1/2 hour life drawing session, 1 & 1/2 hour of gestures and short poses, ending with 1 hour of long poses, give or take. Bring your tools (no acrylics, oils or sprays please). **Join us for French-with-Art's 4-session course taking on 4 Tuesdays in September, on 9/8; 9/15. 9/22. and 9/29, 2026, from 5 to 6 pm EST** and **2 to 3 pm PST.** Advanced B1 and B2 levels/intermediate Join us for this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a fun live interactive online class of French and Art! You'll practice your French while learning about the master works from the world's great collections. This event is hosted by Dan Boterashvili of Harvest Strength Training, a personal trainer and visual artist, alongside Alexander Singer, community engagement professional and bartender. Bring your own materials (paint, charcoal, whatever gets you going) and work at your own pace. We'll stage the scene and leave you to it! Easels and desks available to use. All levels are welcome. In this class, we will focus on figure drawing and various drawing techniques. We begin with a short discussion/demo of different approaches to drawing. There is a live model for each session. This uninstructed session begins with short poses for attendees to warm up. The longest poses are 20 minutes. We take a 5-minute break every 20 minutes. There are cookies and fresh water available.
