Christmas in July Escape Room
Sat, Jul 25, 9:00 PMI (Melissa) have celebrated Christmas in July as a silly made up holiday for over a decade! I'm keeping the tradition going here at the Rock. This year, we're putting together a popup escape room at the shop. We'll split into 2 teams to compete to "escape" first, then celebrate afterward over some board games and hanging out. Your $10 ticket secures your spot since this is a small-scale event, and includes your drink of choice from the coffee bar! Christmas-y outfits encouraged but not required 🎄

Spicy Dogs Club - Led by Tully's Trainers (East Hollywood)
Sun, Jul 12, 8:00 PM**🌶️🌶️🐾 Spicy Dogs Club – Real World Training Group** Led weekly by Shakinah from Tully’s Training Life doesn’t happen in a training class—it happens out in the world. This small group is designed to give reactive (“spicy”) dogs and their humans the chance to practice skills together in real-life settings, like moving through a busy market or park. You’ll get hands-on coaching, structured exercises, and the support of a community that understands. This location is **MEDIUM/HOT!** 🌶 🌶 Best for spicy dogs ready to level up their training around real-world distractions — think busy walkways, other leashed dogs, loud sounds, kids on the move, with some open spaces. This class is unique for our spicy clubs as we will have a rotating group of our talented Tully's trainers teaching this location. If your dog is working on being comfortable around new people, this class is for you! **Agenda:** * 👋 Welcome & introductions * 🎯 Structured reactivity exercises to build confidence and neutrality * 💬 Q&A + discussion: homework, common challenges, and shared strategies **What to Bring:** * 🐶 Your dog (on a secure, non-retractable leash and flat collar or harness) * 💧 Water for you and your pup * 🍖 A mix of treats (don’t forget some *high-value* ones for tough moments) * 🎒 Treat bag (super handy, but not required) **How to Find Us:** We'll meet at the far corner of the first parking lot you come to, then we will do a structured sniff walk up to a safe open space for training. If you are late or have trouble finding us please text or call Shakinah 406-366-4349 **Additional Info:** * You'll need to purchase one entry 'ticket' per dog. Cost is not per person. * You'll need to be approved by a TT team member before this class. We will reach out to you if needed. **Participant Waiver & Acknowledgment** By joining the **The Spicy Dogs Club**, you acknowledge and agree to the following: * Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. * **Tully’s Training, the Spicy Dogs Club, and any affiliated partners, sponsors, or venues** are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses to you, your dog(s), or your property during the event. * You accept full responsibility for the behavior, safety, and control of your dog(s) at all times. * You confirm your dog is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and does not pose a threat to other dogs or people. * By attending, you grant **Tully’s Training and the Spicy Dogs Club** permission to use any photos or videos taken during the event for marketing or promotional purposes. * You agree to receive event-related reminder emails and text messages and may be added to Tully’s Training’s mailing list for future updates—you can unsubscribe anytime. **Your participation in the Spicy Dogs Club constitutes your understanding and acceptance of this waiver.**

Return of rock, blues, and country jam (near 2/210)
Sat, Jul 18, 10:00 PMHello, again, if you’re still out there! It’s been a while, but the drum kit is set up again. It’ll take some time to set up the PA, etc., but I’m hoping to get the jam going again. I’ve had this goofy idea for a while to play full band style, plugged in, singing through mics, but not real loud. Since Covid, I’ve met a mellow drum player who likes playing music, not real picky about style, and a great bass player who can play anything, but they’re both busy Saturdays. We’re probably going to jam some on Tuesdays, too. I play lousy guitar and write weird songs, but I like taking turns with others leading tunes. Looking for other musicians, singers, songwriters who’d like to collaborate on originals and covers of Americana, Dylan, Stones, Dead, etc.

Walk along Millionaire's Row & Back to the Future House in Pasadena
Sat, Jul 18, 7:00 PMWalk along Millionaire's Row in Pasadena, Wrigley Mansion (Rose Parade House), Suicide Bridge, Worldwide Church of God, Back to the Future House (Gamble House), etc. Walk is under 6 miles RT. Bring water and sneakers. During the first two decades of the 20th Century Pasadena became the home of millionaires (who probably would be billionaires in today’s dollars). Chewing gum magnate William Wrigley Jr., David B. Gamble, son of James Gamble, founder of Proctor and Gamble, and Adolphus Busch of Budweiser fame, were some of the wealthiest families in the country. Many of these upper-class residents lived on Orange Grove Blvd. which, due to this extreme affluence, was nicknamed ‘Millionaire’s Row’. As ‘Millionaire’s Row’ grew, with dozens of opulent mansions of eight or ten bedrooms lining the street, the need for hired help increased dramatically. Mary Gamble and Ada Wrigley were not going to wash dishes and clothes, nor prepare meals for their families. Those laborious tasks were given to domestic workers who lived in the residences of the rich in modest servants’ quarters. And they were paid low wages for the difficult and arduous work required to maintain these enormous estates. Wrigley House (Tournament of Rose Parade House) https://tournamentofroses.com/house-tours/ Suicide Bridge 87 have committed suicide from this bridge: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorado_Street_Bridge_(Pasadena,_California) Back to the Future House (Gamble House) https://movie-locations.com/movies/b/Back-To-The-Future.php Worldwide Church of God We will walk to see the scenic grounds of the church and the mansions there. Afterwards social in Old Town: 21 Choices Frozen Yogurt 44 N Fair Oaks Ave, Pasadena, CA 91103 Parking: Street parking. As long as you park on the street next to mansion on side streets, no restrictions. You go further away, it is 2 hours parking. After walk, people can go to Old Town Pasadena to get something to eat.
