The Hideout Side Quest #2: Archery & Team Challenge

The Hideout Side Quest #2: Archery & Team Challenge

Sat, Aug 22, 8:30 AM
From The Hideout

## **What are The Hideout Side Quests?** The Hideout Side Quests are half-day pop-up events for adults in and around Berlin to step into The Hideout world without disappearing for a whole weekend. Not the full camp weekend. Just a little piece of it. Come play, make something, meet people, and remember that weekends can feel different. Want the full version? Get on the Summer Camp 2027 waitlist [here](https://tally.so/r/WOAzVP?utm_source=luma). Stay in touch 👉[ Website](https://www.comehideout.com/?utm_source=luma) I [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/come.hideout?utm_source=luma) ## Event Description A summer afternoon for grown-ups who want to go outside, try something new, and briefly become the kind of person who says things like, “I think I’m actually getting good at this.” We’ll learn the basics of archery, get some practice in, split into teams, and end with a friendly challenge where everyone gets weirdly invested in points, targets, and probably one very dramatic final shot. This is not just an archery lesson, it’s archery with camp energy! Beginner-friendly instruction, team challenges, tiny prizes, light chaos, and a roomful of adults taking fun just seriously enough. No experience needed or athletic personality required, just show up, try to shoot arrows, cheer for your team, and maybe discover that you have excellent main-character-with-a-bow energy 😉 ## What to Expect * Beginner-friendly archery lesson * Practice time with guidance * Team-based archery challenges * A final mini tournament * Tiny prizes for the winning team and a few very official categories that may or may not matter in the real world. * Time to hang out before/after * A relaxed, playful group setting Come alone or bring a friend. We’ll sort the teams. ***Please note:*** *This event will run with a minimum of 10 participants. If we don’t reach the minimum, tickets will be refunded.* ## What’s Included Your ticket includes the archery lesson, equipment, guided practice, team setup, hosted challenge rounds, water, snacks, prizes\*, and the very serious administration of unserious competition. You just show up. We’ll sort the rest. ## Good to Know Please arrive at 10:30 so we can say hi, sort teams, and ease into the “adult summer camp but with bows and arrows” portion of the day. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can move in. Full details on the meeting point and what to bring will be shared before the event. **10:30 - Step into The Hideout world** Arrival, check-in, team sorting, beginner nerves welcomed **11:00 - Bows, arrows, and mild drama** Archery lesson, guided practice, and team challenges **13:45 - Tiny awards + Proof You Were Here** Final recognition, group photo, dramatic last looks at the target **14:00 - Official end** ***Optional:*** *nearby food & drinks / hangout after* ## The Hideout Rule Come ready to enter The Hideout. That means trying something new, joining a team, cheering for strangers, and caring about your team score a tiny bit more than expected. You do not have to be good at anything. You just have to be game. \* We’ll also be watching for things like most dramatic shot, most improved, and best commitment to the game. So basically, skill helps, but energy also counts!

Trip to Görlitz and Sound System Festival in Zgorzelec

Trip to Görlitz and Sound System Festival in Zgorzelec

Sat, Aug 8, 8:30 AM
From Over 30s social
4.7

An exeptional combination: Sightseeing in the unique heritage city of Görlitz combined with a free Sound System Street Festival which is taking place on Saturday in Zgorzelec. Görlitz is the easternmost town in Germany and lies opposite the Polish town of Zgorzelec, which was the eastern part of Görlitz until 1945. Today together with Zgorzelec it forms the Euro City of Görlitz/Zgorzelec. Görlitz was not damaged during the war, therefore it has a medieval, baroque and renaissance old town, surrounded by a belt of 19th-century tenements, villas and industrial areas, which stretches across the Neiße to what was East Görlitz, now Zgorzelec in Poland. Görlitz has served as a backdrop for several movies. The film boom has earned the town the nickname of "Görliwood" in the press. For some years now a Sound System Street Festival takes place in Zgorzelec for one day. Big sound systems will be built up with heavy beats. Sound systems from Poland and Germany will play until midnight. We will stroll around Görlitz and Zgorzelec, have lunch in a polish restaurant and attend the Sound System Festival, free and open air. You need Deutschland-Ticket. We take the train at 10:40am at Ostkreuz, and will return on the last train at 9:40pm, but you can take any train earlier. Donation for this event 2€. Bring your ID.
