DataVis Practice offers a supportive environment for your data visualization talks. We meet at Loreley - a German Beer Garden at the heart of the Lower East Side, where you can give your talks in a safe, low-stakes room and receive appreciation feedback. Hors D'oeuvres will be served. Cash bar. Keep your skills up to date: data analysis, data visualization and story telling with data. Communicate your big idea according to best practices. All levels are welcome. Whether you are an experienced speaker looking to give back or can’t remember the last time you had to speak in public, you are invited. Clues, Spells, and Curses! Join dozens as they set out onto the streets of the Financial District; the site of graveyards, hauntings and some of the grizzliest deeds ever done! It will be a fun way to explore and socialize. We'll set you up on teams and give you everything you need to know to help find the clues. **How does it work?** If you come alone we will set you up on a team (or you can play with a team) and we'll give you everything you need to know to help find the clues. Each team will have 90 minutes to find as many of the clues we give you. When finished we will return to a set location for socializing. Prizes are awarded to those finding the most clues. **What are we looking for?** Lower Manhattan in the early 1600's till now has been the site of hangings, hauntings, massacres, explosions, and other not so nice and creepy things. You will be scouring Bowling Green to City Hall, visiting (supposedly haunted places), searching for history-markers and research things that happened. **FAQs:** How do I find group?
