From local parades and neighborhood barbecues to national moments and the nationwide celebrations connected to the United States Bicentennial, every story helps preserve the spirit of this historic time. Stories will be collected all summer long. Once compiled, in the fall, we will share your stories on our website and with the Behnke Museum as a lasting tribute. Not suitable for beginners, experienced paddlers only.** The City Island Kayak Touring Club is having their 4 mile Boot Hill Cup Kayak Race around Hart Island. Trophies will awarded in all classes. Name of the overall winner engraved on the Boot Hill Cup.
