New York Dodgeball Open Gym (UES)

This is a social event, so while some of us like to revel in being competitive, the goal is to meet people and have fun! That being said, headshots are **NOT ALLOWED**. We use 7 inch rubber No-Sting style dodgeballs. This provides a fun, friendly and competitive environment without any pain or bruising. The games are set to cool music. Basically, it’s one big party with dodgeball, music and friends. We’ll pick teams from people who show up each week. There will be no refs, but experienced New York Dodgeball players will oversee games. Co-ed, ages 21 and up. Please note we **always** have enough players for this event. Meetup is just one place we advertise, so if you only see one or two RSVPs please know that there will be others attending. We have a regular group of players who attend regularly and we would love for you to be part of this group. A fall foliage photography workshop and tour in Vermont's back roads with a local professional photographer who knows the best locations should be on every photographer's bucket list. The stunning fall foliage is a visual feast for photographers and professional photographer Loren Fisher will take you on a classic Vermont experience designed to improve your photography skills while photographing the beauty of Autumn in New England. Based from his art gallery in Woodstock, VT, Loren will take you on an exciting Vermont photo experience in one of the most breathtaking fall foliage destinations in New England. Loren will give you personal attention and show you how to take your photography to a higher level, whether you are a beginner or experienced photographer. We will meet for classroom instruction at Loren's art gallery in the heart of Woodstock and then spend most of the time shooting in the field at unique locations. A highlight is photographing a colorful island while Loren light paints it with a large flashlight. Loren will help you set up your camera and tell you the exposures as the darkness rolls in. It is a stunning, unique photo opportunity. You will visit and photograph beautiful farms, a classic Vermont village and a private 600 acre homestead with ponds, flora and an amazing mountain-top view. We will photograph covered bridges, breathtaking scenery, lakes, waterfalls and enjoy true small-town hospitality. Loren will share with you his thought process, how he plans a shot and how he edits.
