Confirm if you would like to participate in this adventure, camping under the stars by the river and exploring nature together with friendly people that you will have BBQ dinner with & play games. Driving, carpooling or need a ride? WHEN: 25-26th of April, 2026 (1 NIGHT SATURDAY & SUNDAY BACK) DEPARTURE: 9:00AM, 25/04/2026 SATURDAY RETURN: 2PM 26/04/2026 SUNDAY WHAT TO BRING: YOUR OWN FOOD & DRINKS (1 lunch, 1 breakfast & another lunch) CAMPING GEAR: tent, air mattress or floor pads, comfortable blanket & flash light. This walk takes us from Waterfall to Uloola falls, Karloo pool and then to Olympic pool. **We will start at Waterfall Train Station (exit train station and turn left until you get to the drop-off area) at 9.15am. **From here we will follow the Uloola Fire Trail for about 5kms to Uloola Falls, where we stop for a snack and I will show you a secret swimming hole with little waterfalls. We will then follow the Karloo Track for 3 kms to Karloo Pools ,where we will have lunch.Then we will follow Kangaroo Creek to Olympic pool. We will head to Heathcote Train Station via the Bottle Forest track. We will arrive at Heathcote train station by 3.30 pm. **DISTANCE: About 14 km.** GRADE: Medium, there are a few hills to climb. 🚙 Join us for an exciting fun day out exploring awesome lookouts, the beautiful Autumn leaves at Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens & sunset at Mt Banks Summit ⛰️🌸🍂 🌅 🗓 DATE: Sunday, 26 April 2026. ⏰ MEETING TIME: 9.50am. 🚘 MEETING POINT: Dargans Arch trailhead. 🥾 DISTANCE: 🚶‍♂️Dargans Arch - 2.5 km return. 🚶‍♀️Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens - 2 km return. 🚶‍♀️Walls Lookout (optional) - 3.5 km return. 🚶‍♂️Mt Banks Summit (optional) for sunset - 4.5 km return. 🥾 GRADE: Moderate on a relaxing pace, not snail pace! 💪🏽 Reasonable fitness recommended due to uneven rocky surfaces, ups and down hills, stair climbs, a bit of rocks scrambling and bush bashing at few overgrown sections. 💪🏽 Tracks expected to be wet, muddy and slippery at few sections. 📝 NOTE: you may leave home at anytime. ******************************************* ⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION ⚠️ 📝 TERMS & DISCLAIMER: Attending this event is voluntarily at your own risk. 👕 Comfortable outfit for the weather preferably hiking gear. Jeans or cotton t-shirt may not be suitable for this walk.
🥾 Waterproof hiking boots or good grip walking shoes highly recommended.
💦 At least 1.8L of water, Hydralyte or sports energy drinks.
🥪 Snacks and packed lunch.
🧢 Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent.
⛑ Basic First Aid kit - BandAid, bandages, anti bacterial wipes, pain reliever and hand sanitiser.
