Pasadena Cyclavia Ride

Join us on a beautiful bicycle ride through the city of Roses for the next Cyclvia which is returning to the SG valley after a long hiatus. Enjoy car-free streets and human powered transport that makes this popular event. One we get going we can ride over to the east end of the event at San Gabriel Blvd and then head west via Colorado Blvd and as the mood strikes can continue to the Rose Bowl loop and to La Canada, Montrose or Down to South Pasadena. Note this route does have some hills so be prepared for some leg burn! On the way back we can stop at Mission St. in South Pasadena which has a variety of places to fuel up and rest for ride back to the start point. BIKE RIDE QUALIFICATIONS: This ride is for all bike riders who are comfortable riding on streets for 15-25 miles at a speed of 12 to 15 miles per hour. This Cyclavia portion of the ride is mostly flat with some modest hills near the Rose Bowl should riders choose to continue. BIKE ROUTE: See Map on this page. Our rides range from leisurely social outings to challenging, high-intensity adventures and we welcome guests on all our rides. The **Black Folk™ RoadRunners Bike Group** meet every 1st Saturday morning for rides of varying difficulty, starting from various locations in and around the Los Angeles area. We also administer and record Century Challenge rides, where cyclists can test themselves on 100-mile routes. Many of our rides take place on roads and trails less traveled and our calendar also contains special rides and events, highlighted by our signature ride, *The Black Tour*, in late February. This fully supported 24-hour event includes options for Double Century, Triple, and Quad rides. Distance: We skate about 10 miles or more through Downtown Los Angeles. Difficulty: This group isn’t for beginners, but you don’t have to be a pro. We skate in the streets with traffic and go up and down hills often, so if you’re comfortable with those things, then you should be fine. Always a group of 30+, approaching 50+ during the most active months. (the goal is 200+ people at the anniversary skate in July) Announcement will be made if we are not skating for any reason, otherwise we are there EVERY week! Parking - We park at The Geffen at Moca. Its free after 7pm, otherwise it’s ~$7. The entrance is off of Judge John Aiso Street and isn’t easy to see, so dont feel bad if you can’t find it right away. This a weekly parkour Meetup at varying locations around Los Angeles. The first part of the Meetup aims to strengthen and prep the body for parkour training. The majority of the meetup concentrates heavily on technique, flow, and movement. The meetup is for all ages and all levels, no previous experience is required. The parkour meetup is structured as follows: (1) Warm-up (2) Conditioning (3) Technical, flow, and movement training. (4) Cool-down Please try to arrive at least 5 minutes early as we will get started right on time. CicLAvia Returns to Pasadena

CicLAvia Returns to Pasadena Sunday November 15. For the first time since 2015, CicLAvia is coming back to Pasadena in November! The free, non-ticketed Open Streets event will take place on Sunday, November 15, inviting the community to bike across Pasadena while stopping along local businesses, information booths, and engaging in cultural amenities. Even if you don't have a bicycle 🚲 🚲 🚲 you can still enjoy the closed off streets for walking. I will get to memorial park metro station with my bicycle at around 12 noon, if anyone wants to join me at north hollywood metro station at 10 am with or without a bicycle that's great, I will be bringing my bike on the metro to pasadena. I have an idea where to go with our bikes for lunch but we will decide between us if that's okay with everyone.
