For everyone who wishes to learn about plants but doesn’t want to set off on a full-time training course Your space may be a balcony, a tiny front yard, a windy terrace or a dim space in front of a basement window. Do you want to start growing plants but don’t know how? Are you mystified why plants hate you? If you want to begin gardening, you may not know where to start, these sessions with professional gardener Jane Rogers, will instil confidence and drip-feed you with enough knowledge to watch your green fingers grow. This half-day workshop is designed to demystify the reasons that your plants don’t thrive and how to choose the best plants for your type of space. As Jane explains the selection process for your type of terrain, you will construct a flowerpot with individually mixed soil and a seasonal selection of plants to take home. Dig into the wonderful world of gardening – we offer advice and tips for busy people who don’t have a lot of time to care for their new green friends. Jane Rogers is a busy professional gardener and has led many workshops including long and short courses at Kew Gardens, London.

Clifton Nurseries, & lovely walk along the Regents Canal to Kings Cross.

This a new walk, and is well worth doing, and is 6 miles approximately. We will meet at 11.00 am, for a hot drink at the cafe in Clifton Nurseries near Warwick Avenue Undeground Station. (This is a lovely Garden Centre and well worth visiting.} After our hot drink at 11.20 am, we will walk along The Regents Canal and to The Ice Wharf for a lunch {or bring our own}. With Camden Town Underground less than 10 minutes away. For those that would like to walk further, we can walk to Kings Cross and have a drink in The Parcel Yard in the station. £ 7 meetup fee required {please have the right change}. Litter Pick - Bromley Church House Gardens/Martin's Hill (SE London)

Join the Eco Around Community for a litter-pick walk in Bromley's parks, facilitated by Biljana. Church House Gardens and Martin’s Hill are green oases in Bromley with spaces both for relaxation and a variety of activities. The areas are steep and hilly, which also makes them great viewpoints of the Bromley landscape. **When:** Saturday, 26 September from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm **Where:** We’ll start the litter-pick walk from Bromley Central Library, make our way to Church House Gardens following park paths, then cross Glasmill Ln to Martin’s Hill, passing by the Bromley War Memorial and finishing on Queen’s Mead Rd. Recently a friend introduced me to this fascinating place and I thought some of you may be interested in joining me for a visit. There is so much to enjoy and explore within the Gardens. Join our weekly Walthamstow Meetups and play some games with us! **💜Everybody Welcome:** We meet up every week to play a bunch of modern board games, card games and party games in pubs. If you would like to get involved, RSVP to the event. You can bring games with you if you like, although not a requirement. 🌱**Something For Everyone:** Whether you're a seasoned board game veteran or just starting out, you're welcome. No previous experience necessary, we go through the rules before playing. We play a range of games, from lighter card and party games to epic strategies. **📌Where:** We meet at the **The Village Club** in Walthamstow, which is a 10 minute walk from Walthamstow Central underground station.. When you arrive please press the buzzer to gain entry. Just say you are joining the board game group. Come say hello and the event hosts will get you settled in. The Village Club is a member's club but you can attend our board game evening without becoming a member. As the space will stay open for the use of our group the expectation is that you will buy a drink or two to cover the cost of the bar staff. Trip to Chiswick Flower Market & RARE Plant shopping

Want to join other plant people for a day trip in West London? A lot of plant talk and banter, visiting plant venues and even grab a bargain. Let's go plant shopping! Itinerary: 10am - Meet outside Turnham Green station. Grab your coffee whilst waiting for others to arrive. 10:15 - 1st plant shop 10:30- 2nd plant shop - rare plants 11:00 - Chiswick flower Market 12noon - Pub lunch - Thai food - to recharge before heading to... 1pm - 3nd plant shop - rare plants 2pm - End of event This is a free event. Only 10 spaces available, so please RSVP approraitely - update your attendance when you can no longer attend to enable others to join. What to bring & what to expect? Comfortable shoes - total walking for <1 mile Wear wind- & rain- proof attire, or sunblock! It's the UK, expect all for seasons in the day :-) Extra bag for your purchase. Join me for... **A Twisted Tour of Music History \~ Islington** 😊🎶 We'll gather from 12.15pm to 12.30ish, outside \***Angel**\* Tube station 😊 We will be exploring the rich and diverse history of Music in this area of Islington, including visiting venues, and we'll be be doing some singing too 😊 We'll picnic along the way in a park 😊 The tour is £5 or Pay What You Feel 😊

Explore City's hidden gardens, 2 miles

* We will visit the City of London and 'discover' its hidden gardens. * We will start with the Christ Church Greyfriars where the ruins of a Wren church destroyed during the Blitz have been developed into a garden laid out to reflect the floor plan of the original church. * From there we will visit the Postman's Park, Saint Mary Aldermanbury Garden, Roman Fort Ruins, Guildhall Library, Guildhall (25mins break to see the Art Gallery and Roman Amphitheatre), Churchyard of St John Zachary, St Alphage Gardens (pictured) Barbican Water Gardens and Reflections Pond. * We will finish our walk at the newly reopened One New Change viewing platform opposite St Paul's. Optional lunch/drinks at the end of the walk. What to bring: Comfortable footwear Water Photo-taking gadgets and chargers An umbrella just in case (it's London after all) The walk is free for members who have subscribed for an annual membership. For other members the fee is £5 cash/card on arrival to contribute towards the organiser's meetup fees and costs. The annual pass option is £15 payable by cash or card on the day. This will provide access to at least 40 walks per year (members are welcome to bring a guest to each event). All walks are free for the NHS staff (also welcome to bring a guest). ***'No Show' Policy:*** *If the member replied 'yes' but did not attend the event, did not update the RSVP and did not inform the organiser on 3 occasions – this triggers an automatic removal from the group.
