From Greenspeakers Toastmasters Club - Practice Public Speaking
4.8

New location! Meeting at Berkeley College, 3 E. 43 St. in room 402. We are moving the start up up a bit to avoid running up against the building close time (21:00) and potentially allow for more socializing. We are one of few Toastmasters clubs in NYC offering in-person meetings and we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity for in-person communication and networking. Interested in improving your public speaking skills? Want to meet new people and engage in interesting discussions? Hoping to make new business and life connections? If so we welcome you to attend the next Greenspeakers meeting. Greenspeakers is a Toastmasters club that was founded by Green Party members to provide a forum for engaged progressive activists and professionals to improve their public speaking skills. Guests of all political persuasions are welcome and we have no official connection to any political party. All attendees will have a chance to practice public speaking and will learn helpful tricks to become a more confident public speaker and communicator. Hope to see you there! Please note that our meetings require active listening and it's expected all in attendance will be respectful to each speaker by giving them your attention and refrain from making noise during speaking roles. Any who are disruptive or do not follow the behavioral guidelines of Toastmasters may be asked not to return.

**\*TO ATTEND GET TICKETS AT:** [https://www.eventbrite.com/e/fun-games-night-tickets-1993481249079](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/fun-games-night-tickets-1993481249079) *(\*Ignore any references if you RSVP and it says you can pay organizer directly. This is a Meetup glitch that they hopefully fix. This is a prepay event and only way to attend is to get ticket in advance at link above).* *\*\*Our events are co-organized by multiple groups so don't pay attention to the RSVPs. Our events are consistently well attended. Members get tickets and don't RSVP.* The night consists of three rounds of different games based on different game shows. After each game you will randomly switch teams, giving you a chance to meet all of the attendees. So, put on your competitive hat and join us for a night of gaming, socializing, and winning! **How it works:** * Arrive at 6:30pm for food and drinks at the bar/lounge. * At 7pm we will create teams of 4-5. After each round you will rotate to a new team. * Pay as you go for food and drinks on a separate check. Please arrive early if you wish to eat. (Although you will be able to eat while playing if coming late.) * The games played that night may be loosely based on Family Feud, Wheel Of Fortune, Jeopardy and others. FAQs: **Can I come alone?** Most come on their own. If you don't know anyone, the ice-breakers will help you meet others. Come alone or bring a friend - either way you'll feel comfortable and have a great time. **How many members will be attending?** This is a multi-Meetup group event. This page only shows a very small portion of the actual attendees. **Is there a dress code?** Whatever you have on from work is fine. **Ages?** All welcome 21 and over. We usually get a good mix of ages. \*Limited # of tickets available for $15. Price will go up to $20 as event gets closer. No tix sold at door.
