You are invited to participate in a special session of creative thinking and fresh insight dedicated to inspiration. We live in a world of constant change that requires us to be able to continually adapt and innovate in order to succeed. Unfortunately, many of us have forgotten how to delve into our raw creativity and leave behind the rigidity of the frameworks we have progressively interiorized. This unique workshop seeks to reclaim our inspiration and imagination, rethink the unthinkable. It is ideal for people working in the creative arts as well as students, entrepreneurs, team managers, corporate leaders and anyone looking to implement their creative vision. Inspiration is a vital driving force in our lives that moves us to create our best work and lights the way for new, authentic ideas. How do we invite, cultivate and harness inspiration so that we are able to bring these ideas into reality? As a self-taught artist exploring various avenues of self-expression, Issa Sow draws a distinction between the phenomenon of inspiration itself and our task of making ourselves ready for it. In the upcoming Inspiration Trap workshop, we will imagine ways we can invite and contain our inspiration, and well as keep our mind in the open, dynamic state as a receptacle or a “canvas” to collect, reflect and grow our ideas. Feel free to bring along a personal object, a piece of clothing or even a small piece of furniture to play with during this hands-on experiment in innovative thinking. Seat weaving workshop

This willl be a 2 session seat weaving workshop. Saturday Feb 28 and Mar 07. choose one of our available vintage chairs or stool frames. plenty of colors and patterns to choose from. You will complete your project in two sessions. Lets build community through craft, skill sharing and fun. $150 includes all materials and both sessions.

Art X Fashion @ The Museum at FIT

Admission to the museum is free. This exhibition will be on display from February 19 until April 19, 2026. If you cannot attend the opening, please stop in and see the show at your convenience. Call ahead for hours. This exhibition is a comprehensive exploration of the symbiotic relationship between the world of fashion and fine art. Featuring more than 140 objects, including garments, accessories, textiles, photographs, and original artworks drawn from MFIT's permanent collection, *Art X Fashion* challenges the traditional hierarchies of visual culture, presenting fashion and art each as parallel, potent expressions of social, intellectual, and creative forces. Curated by Dr. Elizabeth Way, curator of costume and accessories at MFIT, the exhibition reflects MFIT's mission to advance the understanding and appreciation of fashion's critical role in culture. The core of *Art X Fashion* lies in its profound engagement with the eternal question: "Is fashion art?" The exhibition explores the ways that fashion has always been a partner, not a follower, of fine art, highlighting typically overlooked integrations throughout history.
